    It is a war crime that this video is algorithmed to the shadow realm. This is so funny and deserves way more views.

    This was a real nail biter, every time you grabbed the Newsh. Very cool results in the end though - and a hilarious video.

    so the stompa was primed in metallic, a bit of highlightng and edge lining was done, then it was Newshed? What does it look like on a Spees Mahreen?

      I did a rusty metal effect base, a quick overall dry brush, then threw the Newsh on! You can do a similar effect on a Marine, BUT maybe just start off with way less. 😅

    With newsh being white, does the end result dry darker than what you mix in the cup?

    • @EmptyWallets
      @EmptyWallets  9 місяців тому +2

      Yes it did! At the end of the video, you can see how it dried a lot darker than what you see in the camping cup. Seems a little scary at first, but it really was fun to see the result!

    ngl having seen both this video and their official video, this product looks ridiculously wasteful and expensive compared to just using enamels or oils with cheap mineral spirits while getting a better effect

    • @EmptyWallets
      @EmptyWallets  9 місяців тому +4

      It’s just an alternative so keep using whatever you are comfortable with and we were definitely using more Newsh than we needed😅😅😅. It’s been super fun to get weathering effects without having to deal with any chemicals!

      That's fair, its just my observation and I realize you guys were laying into it a bit for comedy. I'm a big fan of monument paints and brushes so I hope i'm in the minority with the opinion about it. I'd love to see more content with it from yourself and other creators to see how it works more. Still appreciate seeing it used on more than just their channel@@EmptyWallets

      I am 100% with you. I don't see who this would appeal to. People who are really into weathering already use oils and enamels (which are dirt cheap compared to this) and the effect isn't so good that it makes me wanna give this a go.

      Any reductive washes and techniques could be categorised as wasteful so not sure where you’re going with this.

      @@NoUseForAName06literally me 😅 enamels & their reductive techniques are just as wasteful so rule that out. Is it more expensive sure, is it expensive for a hobby product, no.
      Enamels and their reductive techniques have so much faff and chemicals and clean up and crap to be mindful of so a casual hobbier like me who paints in short stints it's compete inaccessible to me and would never be worth it.
      This however is so much easier and safer to use.

    What's the opposite word of "endearing"? Well... This was that.

    I am sorry but this doesn't seem practical at all. The worst thing about enamel and oils is the mess they make and now they release an acrylic product that's even more messy to work with and it's pretty pricey as well. I personally don't see the appeal here at all. I guess one advantage is you don't need to use thinners or white spritis when working with it but covering your entire workspace in gloop is a bigger inconvenience in my book. Really disapointed by how impractical this seems.

      This product can be used a LOT cleaner than we used it. We were being extra messy because it was fun! If you want it to be clean you definitely can, and you can use a lot less of it than we did!
