Beginner Knife Making on a Budget

How to make a knife for beginners, using scrap metal and basic tools, for free.
A few months ago I made a video questioning if it was possible to make a knife out of recycled metal bed frames. Are metal bed frames made from high carbon steel? Can this steel be hardened? Can it make quality knives? The answer is yes.
Being my first knife build, I take a beginner approach to making knives and try to explain everything I do to the best of my ability.
Knife making is no joke! The learning curve is steep and you will make mistakes. So why not practice on recycled metal bed frames, which are made of high carbon steel, instead of expensive knife steel. Personally, I think it's a great material to learn on.
