you are brave , and hard working , I have a 1970 Old Town cedar strip canoe , no canvas bought by me in 1972 in Old Town Maine . Have refinished 3 times , one hole repair . Seats cained once . Spends its life in many Adirondak Lakes Ponds mostly in the BIG MOOSE area . Fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Bought a canoe trailer 5 years ago to do some traveling to other lakes in the Fulton Chain .Peter from Utica N Y

Thanks. I agree totally. It paddles beautifully. Better than my Nova Craft.

Nice job. How did you determine where to install the yoke? Looks too far off centre but that’s probably a camera illusion.

Thanks. I put it in the same spot as it was originally, and also measured to the center.

Could you send me the sealer you used on the hull and the sealer used on the canvas, as I play your video several times and could not make out what you said.

For the canvas I put 3 coats of Robson's RT Mastic, Then prime it with Interlux Pre-kote. Then 3 coats of Green Interlux Brightside Polyurethane. For the inside and outside of the hull I used a mixture of Turpentine and boiled Linseed oil. I finished the inside of the hull with 3 coats of Minwax Valspar Polyurethane. I hope this answers your question.
