After buying the Mavic Air and dutifully watching over 20 how-to videos, yours has been one of the best, if not the best. Careful, thorough, slow and focused, it was extremely helpful to me, and I've got it ready to view again on my iPad as I head outdoors. No annoying music, sportscaster intonation, or gimmicks, thanks for that.

EXCELLENT video. As always, Ed, you do NOT waste anyone's time. Each second in this 18 minute video is important, useful, easy to understand, and spoken/instructed at the perfect pace, and you cover ALL of the important bases!! Ed, your instructional videos and tutorials are AWESOME, and I ALWAYS recommend your videos to friends who are getting into drones. When I bought my first drone (Mavic Pro), I watched your video before flying, and it gave me all of the preparation I needed before flying! I now have a Mavic 2 Pro. A friend of mine just bought a Mavic Air and I told him that he MUST watch your Beginner's Guide videos before flying. I just watched this video, and of course I gave this link to my friend who just bought a Mavic Air and has never used a drone before. Thanks for producing such GREAT tutorials for those new to drone flying, and thanks for ALL of your awesome instructional videos. Yay yay yippeeekayay yeeehah!

Thank you very much for the calibration portion of the video! This has been the most helpful Mavic Air UA-cam video out there! This has helped me with time, losing my mind, and getting directly to the point. You have helped more than you can possibly imagine! DJI does not have the capabilities to initiate any training for us Americans or English speaking types. Again, thank you so much!

I’m gonna rewatch your videos a few times to make sure I don’t miss anything before I fly it for the first time. Thanks for making these videos...some of the best I’ve seen on the Mavic Air.

Same here!! I just got home with mine and went to the DJI site as suggested in their very limited instruction book. The folks at DJI should be paying you for this!! Their "instructional" video for setup was about 2 minutes long - with NONE of the details you provided. Their 5 minute follow up for "first flight" instructions wasn't much better. One of the best - and informative - videos I have ever seen.

At 13:57 we can notice how elegantly the wild RX100 on a pixie can jump within the tech-jungle.. the black on black coloring camouflages this specimen perfectly to make it difficult to notice in it's current habitat. It does not seem shy and has ventured very close to inspect, even admire the flying object. While still being careful as it's not knowing the drones intentions, it takes a step back to safer distance.. fascinating

Hi Mark, that's a good idea for those who bought the controller and drone separately. My Mavic Air controller and drone came shipped bound already. In fact I think every DJI drone I've ever bought came bound to the controller with the exception of the new DJI Smart Controller that I got after I already had the drones. I'm surprised yours didn't come bound!
