Ed Ricker you are a gifted communicator. By far the best intro to any drone I've seen, I feel like I've flown the thing. DJI should hire you to do their product demos. So much better than wading through 15 DJI official videos to see one feature per vid.

I have been looking for this kinda tutorial for so many days. All other youtuber have shown only unboxing, Cinematic views, etc. You are the one who actually shown how to operate this drone. This is awesome video
After few month , few flies... I went back to view your vid again.... like ... go back to school... lol.... one thing I really love today Sir, and it’s my first time too... I fly my Air as far as I can not see it... soooo far... me and my son couldn’t see it... wow then I press RTH ... oh my lord... it’s amazing that this drone do... landing right my feet....amazing amazing...
This technology is truly the epitomy of future. A lot of people don't really know what they're dealing with but it is truly magical and beautiful. In my opinion, it is a very exciting thought to have a drone with such a professional camera that can take cinematic footage using a professional camera. No matter what drone you would get, just always remember that it is always worth the money.
Watched part 1 & 2 - Best beginner instruction yet. Its old school this model now (I was given this Drone by a mate) but the APP seems to work for lots of DJi so is just as relevant. Off to try out Ed's instruction, I feel a lot more confident in getting going with it than I did before (and I reckon my mate would have learnt a lot from these 2 vids). Good job Mr Ricker..

Ed, I am about a year or so behind the cutting edge. However, I would like to extend a great big Thank You for a great video. Just what a novice like myself needed. I watched both installments, and now have a bit more confidence in what I can do with my 'New' Mavic Air. Just waiting on two other batteries to show up, and I'll be heading to the field to fly her. Both tutorials were very helpful for me because that was my first drone and I wanted to be as careful and cool as i could be. One week has passed with at least 3 flights per day and I’m comfortable with the drone. As you said practice is the key. Thank you for the helpful videos.

I've been in this covid-19 quarantine for over a month now. I decided to FINALLY try to learn how to fly my drone that's been sitting in its box since I got it, over a year ago. I wish every instruction video was this simple. Thanks for this great tutorial.

The best one I have seen. None of the other tutorials I searched, about 10 videos really show you basic explanations how to take off and land and the basic settings. They just go through settings and then you see them flying a drone. They assume you know how to take off and land which is not a great assumption when you are a beginner and have never flown the Air before. We need someone to say, press this and press that and if possible show us.. Again, really great job getting us in the air.
The most informative tutorial I've yet seen on the Mavic Air. Just purchased one yesterday and tried the tutorials from DJI (They suck). Your two videos have tremendously helped me both with setting up my drone for the first time, and going out to get the feel on its maiden flight. Thanks! I truly appreciate the time you spent on putting together these two videos.

Thanks Ed...just got my Mavic Pro a couple of days ago and I´m soaking up all the vids to make sure I don`t crash into someone´s barbecue party. I`ve watched a few vids on gesture mode but it was all crap and no one seemed to know what they were doing and nothing worked. This vid was really helpful and certainly has made my life easier. Thanks again from an ex-pat Brit living in Germany...I´m off now to fly around the neighbourhood to see who has the most beer at their barbecue ;-))

This has been SO helpful! Took my Mavic Air to 180 feet high today, and been having a great time. Going slowly: burn a battery or two, then come in and read some more! I'm really getting the hang of it.

nice vid, the only thing i would mention for new flyers is to make sure homepoint is recorded and enough sats are registered prior to taking off :)
Hey Ed, your two tutorials helps me a lot. I bougt the mavic air 5 or 6 Years ago and do some flights at holydays then I nearly forgot the Mavic air because of the changeing regularies (drone licence and insurance in germany ) somewhere at my office and I forgot how to operate this nice little thing. Now I will start again. Thanks for making and sharing the video.

Watched both your videos man and these are the best tutorials by far. Cut right to the chase and I learned more than having to read the book. Lamens terms, and instead of 45 minutes of crap like most others you've accomplished it in 16 minutes. Well done

Luke De Young, I’ve only been able to fly it as there are strong winds in the area. The one time I flew it everything I tried worked. it was so much fun. I tried out the sports mode. I was blown away by the speed. I’ve got a lot to learn about using it but so far I’m totally stoked by the Mavic air.
I have to say, you provide some of the best tutorials I have seen on UA-cam. Keep up the great work Ed.

Although I have not purchased my drone yet, I've primarily been researching the best one for my use which would be (Real Estate Aerial photography) but at a budget price and compact, but have been watching a ton of videos. Yours are spot on.....To the point....covers all features coupled with short examples without a lot of hype. Thanks and good job!

There's a myriad of instructions about getting started on the Mavic Air. I must've seen almost of all of them and by far, Ed Ricker's tutorial proved to be the easiest, clearest and most comprehensive tutorial I've reviewed. There are lots of information here hardly covered by some who's seemingly speaking to an audience who might already had some experience with it, and not to a novice who just had the chance to handle it for the first time.
