@@quwandathornton Thank you so much 💙 Haven’t given up, life just got in the way of making videos. But as long as there’s things to talk about, I’ll be around 😊
You asked a good question on the House Arrest movie review that you did, but you have the comments turned off for that one, so I could not answer it there. You asked if Christopher McDonald ever played someone nice. The answer is yes, but it does seem to be rare. He played the stepfather in the movie, Monkey Trouble, which is where I had actually first seen him before I saw all of his mean and grouchy roles. He also played Lieutenant Castillo in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode, Yesterday's enterprise. I really liked his performance in Lemonade Mouth. Yes, he was kind of a jerk, but in a comical way and he softened up some at the end of the movie.
I'm not surprised that a show like Living Single got set aside by a show like Friends. And I definitely agree that racism had all to do with that. That being said, I feel like your arguments for saying that Friends is a direct ripoff of LS are not very strong: The character traits that you mention are found in most sitcoms, and in Friends, neither Phoebe nor Ross live in the same apartment complex. Anyways, I will take the recommendation and watch Living Single to see if there are more similarities (and most likely to have a fun time).
Regardless of where the idea came from and not that I like friends, I actually grew up watch in living single, among other shows. Friends fans are world wide, though. I know people that use to live in a village in north of Iraq, literally, that watched friends.
Bowl hair cut ...... check White self depreciation...... check Overcompensate by saying you love everything black...... check Say the bad white people stole it..... check From Dawsons creek to Happy days, to Cheers to sitcoms from the 60's, all had the same characters appearing, of course the story will have some of them falling in love. Of course they will have some similarities. But one is a world wide phenomenon, that anybody can relate to and quote- well, unless you are trying too hard to be counter 'pop' culture. The other is a show that nobody outside of the US has heard of, and is so dated its painful to watch....
You saying each the friends cast were being paid 1m per episode is funny because, it was not till the last episode they started being that, and that was 6 years after Living single ended. The truth is that when friends started, they became a bigger show than living single. And this honestly has nothing to do with racism.
Thank you for recording this video.
I have never seen an episode of Friends. I have seen every episode of Living Single.
I feel the need to commend your work on this video. Wonderfully done.

Girl come over here and get you plate. 🔥 🍖 🪑 😂
😂😂
I always loved living single. I also loved how strong the female characters were.
Yes! All of them made their characters so funny and entertaining without sacrificing their strengths.
I like both shows but what I don’t like is when people hate me for not disliking friends
Living Single is SO underrated. Queen Latifah is everything.
