As a Scars player, I'd like to pour one out for Tak's sanity.
The still frame of Tak at the end there involved red paint on some shoulder pad trim on a clean white surface

Tak is freakishly good at explaining analyzing, and applying tactics. Win or lose, every game comes down to dice as he rarely makes mistakes. And that’s not even mentioning Tycho’s ability to find exploits in every list he likes to play. Awesome game.
I appreciate the compliment. I do really enjoy the strategic and tactical side of the game (even though many of my lists don't show it) and I like to share that love for that side of the game as much as possible. I do feel very rusty at times as I only get to play when we are shooting a game now, and this comment makes me want to play more so I can stay on top of my game.
@@PlayOnTabletopive learned a lot from watching you play marines, and just from mimicking your tactics I've become a far better player and started feeling more confident in my tabletop and list building decisions. You're a huge inspiration man, never forget that

Tak did incredibly well tactically, considering he'd been huffing paint fumes every night for days straight, including right before (and slightly into the start of) the game. 😂
Luckily, the last couple days were mostly brush and not air brush so less fumes BUT definitely fatigued.
We'll say that lone Marine was hidden in the dust cloud of all the bikes around him

I watch these battle reports like how other people watch sports. I was on the edge of my seat watching Tycho lose units left and right, and still manage to pull such a close game
Don't forget the Chaplain on Bike gives Cataclysm of Fire. Meaning you add +1 to wound with all ranged attacks. I think that multimelta would have wounded on 4's.
Sorry, had paint on the brain and will try to remember for next time. Remember reading the ability, thinking I would need to remember and then forgetting.

I thought catechism of fire gave dev wounds to ranged weapons, and he gives melee attacks +1 to wound?
Hold up did that change in the codex? Because in the index it's giving dev wounds to range weapons. Melee weapons get +1 wound/
It's melee +1 to wound, and Devastating at 12in. range
Now THIS was an amazing episode. Kept on the edge for the whole video.
I LOVE this kind of set-up... Each player knew their own weaknesses and strengths. Tak could NOT have fought the death guard straight up and so his maneuvers on the board were awesome!
I'm so glad neither side got washed.
Each player seemed to get a nice mix of hype moments and "Awwwgh!" moments...

Great battle report! Honestly hyped to see the White Scars come out to play, you don't see them in too many battle reps.
With that said it is absolutely shameful how bad the rules are for the Outrider squad. Sure they can zoom around, and then do literally nothing else. Come-on GW, let us play with our toys and make it actually fun.
It's a shame they didn't get a multi part kit with done more weapon options

White Scars have low key been one of my favorite legions for a while. Great to see them get some action.
White Scars always look amazing when done by a quality painter. My first marines I did when I started painting during Covid were White Scars… which looked terrible and now they are all stripped and redone as Salamanders. Seeing how clean these look makes me what to revisit them. Lol
Once the army was put on the table even I took a moment because it was so striking. Definitely a challenging paint scheme!

I got 50x Necron Scarab dice with the bag, Stickers and a mat and I love them.
The mat is a little on the stiff side so it's hard to button the walls up and unbutton them later, but otherwise I couldn't recommend their products enough.

This is probably my favorite battle so far. After the first round I thought Death Guard would just wipe the table, but Tak held on, played superbly and made it a nail biter to the end.

THIS army fits Tak well. Veteran like him knows how to use the mobility well, how to use their abilities like fall back and charge.
Absolutely love seeing the White Scars being played!! Although I may be a Blood Angel/Black Templar kind-of guy, I made a successor chapter centered around the White Scars. I truly believe they are an underrated faction that deserves more love - the Khan was a fantastic, sensical Primarch, with a tactical eye. One of the only ones with common sense. It's nice to see the Sons of the Khan gain some love. The Great Hunt never ends, and I hope this content doesn't, either! :) great content, as always!

One thing, I think you can't use the Rites of Battle ability for a CP reroll. The stratagem targets the dice, not the Unit. Correct me please if I am wrong 😅
It might have been done out of phase too so it was something we did miss and will be mindful of in the future.
I totally agree with Tycho, the heavy blight launcher drones have been VIP in all my games as well. Im so happy death guard is able to do some work now.
