    You know what nobody really talks about how in order to make amends for that the US govt gave preferential treatment later to their descendants allowing them to operate businesses, or shops with little to no red tape.
    I miss the Chinese owned grocery stores in my poor neighborhood.
    Even if they charged more than going to regular grocery store the convenience was what made it worthwhile.
    Loaf of bread one block away, 1.25X what it costs at the grocery store a mile away, worth it. Because you had no car, buses take forever and usually there needed to be a transfer at some point, walking that's 2 hours you won't get back...
    Yes worth it.
