The majority of the Devil Chojin were one dimensional characters. In the original series the ones that got the most characterization were Buffaloman, Ashuraman & Sunshine. The Ninja also got some minor development but he was explored more in Ultimate Muscle. The new 2011 chapters have vastly improved almost everybody from the original series while introducing new characters. The writing is heavily different from the original. That's because Takashi Shimada had 30 years of experience by 2011. Now he has over 45 years of writing experience.
In my opinion, Atlantis was one of the weakest of the Akuma Chojin in terms of design, abilities, character, etc. To see him get arguably some of the best scenes, and one of the most emotional wins of the entire arc was a welcome surprise. (Yes, I know it was technically a draw but look me in the eyes and tell me Atlantis wasn't the real winner.) Atlantis DID honor Robin Mask in his own Akuma Chojin way. It really is a shame the crowd in London didn't pick up on that.

Kinnikuman’s trainer Prince Kamehame was voiced by the original Kinnikuman’s VA from back in the day.
