- Today we will be reviewing the McFarlane Toys DC Multiverse The Merciless Collect to Build wave of action figures. Infected Superman, Dark Nights Metal Rebirth Batman, Earth -22 Crow Robin, and Batman Who Laughs with Sky Tyrant Wings. After reviewing all 4 initial figures in the series we will be building the Earth -12 Bruce Wayne Ares God of War helmeted the Merciless action figure.

The Batman is markedly improved over the first version
Total improvement! It’s like it’s not even part of the same company
So is that Supes sculpt! Because the first Supes didn't fit its _Jim Lee Action comics 1000_ Source Material. This New Supes version's SCULPT is an Exact Interpretation of said _Action Comics 1000 Jim Lee_ cover.

Is anyone else concerned that the rubber torso sleeves and crotches will degrade over time? I really wish they wouldn't use them. And I can't believe he hasn't given up on articulated toes yet.

I got them all and I love them all. It sucks that they didn't include a card for The Merciless. We have cards for everyone else so far. I got the same Robin figure and I'm glad, he was the sculpt I wanted the most. Now I want the Last Knight on Earth wave to come out. And I don't know if you've seen but there have been some images of an upcoming Mcfarlane Bizarro figure that have been shown along with a comic version of John Stewart.
@Everyone Go Check out the _Action Comics 1000_ Source Material on the Back of the Wave 1 McFarlane Supes.. Because this New 'TwIsTeD Supes' SCULPT is an Exact Duplicate of that Org. Jim Lee (Andy Kubert styled) _Action Comics 1000_ Source Material. Which the Org Wave 1 Supes Looked Nothing Like!

I wish they would do a comic based Lady Shiva , Solomon Grundy, Commissioner Gordon, Pirate Batman from Elseworlds, Comic Based Detective Bullock and Montoya, and Scarface and the Ventriloquist! I don’t care for dead Robin figures and the way the line is going .
Todd did mention Grundy in passing in an interview, so I am hoping we see tall, dark and gruesome probably by next year. A modified Bizarro head would work great on him.
I have to say. Mcfarlane has really stepped his game up. I bought 2 so far. The Batman from this wave and the cyborg from teen titans. If the line started out this way I would've been happy. Still too Batman focused but we are starting to get other characters.

Lordy i loved this line. I almost drooled on mu figures when they arrived and when i did my review on my page lol
For a first baf this was... Wow. And unlike marvel legends you need four figures rather than five or more.
One weird thing i noticed though. My batman fig is bigger than other figures e.g. the arkham batman fig.
I think I saw Batman who laughs in stores months ago but don’t think he had wings. I think I saw the others once but don’t comment everything.
I really like the metallic blue of the merciless figure.
Sorry to be a nit-picking grump daddy, but DUDE ... Joker Robin's knees are supposed to stay bent, it's clearly a design choice because of the sneaky, mischevious, imp-like nature of the character. You're collecting McFarlane figures of DC characters which is bad enough and a waste of money to begin with, but on top of that the design choices they made for each figure appear to be completely lost on you, all in all this makes for frustrating viewing if I'm honest. I'll get back to work now... Buy and build some mecha kits or something, at least there's some real ingenuity and engineering work put into those and it involves a little more work on your part beyond simply opening a box.
The only one I'm missing is Robin.. Little bugger is sold out everywhere! Some third party stores have them for CDN$100+. That's way too over priced.
I wish we could switch the capes cause my Batman is the Arkham knight one and if I got that Batman I would switch the capes 100% it would make it so much better
Was looking forward to this brand doing some cool things but unfortunately al they produce is Batman’s in every single wave. Stopped collecting after the second wave
I like that batman A LOT but there is still something that bothers the hell out of me. I don't like the sculpted bat logo on his ab armor. At no point in the rebirth or Dark Knight: Metal series does he have that and it looks so weird to me and stands out to me. That's my only issue though, there's more good than bad to it for me. Now, all we need is Terry Mcguiness Batman Beyond

I don't know if anyone will see this comment a year later, but these figures are now going for so much compared to retail, especially the crow, going for 80 bucks now
Did both of the arms fall apart ???? Again or did you fixed them cus I have an QC issue in the left hand it won't stay in the hola and it falls part by moving it how van I fixed ???

This wave is awesome and i think after almost a year with the DC license, McFarlane is crushing it!!! For the Batman figure, it would've been cool if the axes were the same, we could've made a Bat symbol with those bad boys.
But their Sizing is Waaay off! That Batman shouldn't be Taller than everyone else. Especially Joker (an the New Multiverse Joker is A Good fig, which is to bad). Cause Joker is 6'6" & Bruce Wayne is 6'2" in the comics anyway. Even going back to The Org. Batman 66" Show. Ceaser's Joker is way taller than Adam West's Batman.
If you put the axes on top of another, you can form the Bat-Symbol
I like what mcfarlane is doing, but I really want to see more comic based figs. I know he would give us a perfect comic Killer Croc.
Can you remove the wings from the Batman who laughs?
Hopefully we can get a 3-pack of Robins someday.
This wave is amazing! I have my set and it made me so happy as I worked my way through each figure that DC is in McFarlanes hands!

I've been watching all the MacFarlane Toys DC figures but has not convinced me yet due to their articulation being limited. I'm a fan of 1/12th scale figs with great articulation. I have high hopes for this line, but it's like Marvel Select but with great scuplt like statues.
I was looking forward to this! You know Brad for a possible Kitbash Video you could try putting the Marvel Legends Old Man Hawkeye head on Mericless for a unmasked verison. It's what I'm planning on soon as Dorkside ships the wave. Still waiting
The yellow parts on Batman would look much better in gold imo. Also the missing purple helped make Rebirth Bats pop from other suits; why leave it off Todd? :(
Did you buy these in Ontario because I can't find them anywhere? One of the joys of having a UA-cam right in my backyard kinda. I'm close though.
I wasn't a huge fan of Batman's Rebirth suit, but that is an awesome looking figure.

I picked up the batman and i like him, not getting the rest because i'm not into the metal figures but the batman looks pretty normal. My only problem is the cape, it feels too short and weirdly sculpted. Great review as always brad :-)
yep, just reverse the infected Superman emblem, it will be a fantastic Bizarro figure ...

because this is the batman who laughs when he stole the sky tyrant wings, it’s not the sky tyrant

These figures are 90 percent great. I will say I rather Merciless had been a separate piece and be charged for 30 dollars because if you get the three robins you’re stuck with three torsos just like the Spawn figure where you were stuck with multiple Spawns just to get different accessories.
I love the Batman figure - with minor customisation, that would look superb... how easy would removing the cape be?

I think the wear and tear on Batman looks good, it’s not noticeable either and makes sense given the character or at least this version.
How tall is the Merciless exactly? 8.5 or 9 inches?

Your Superman face looks way darker than others.
Infected Superman and the Crow Robins are my favorite of this wave. Only change I would have made to supes is I would have made him taller.

Total pass on the Superman in this wave (as I only really collect Superman figures from this line), but thanks for reviewing this wave for our enjoyment.

Mcfarlane imo has had a fantastic year and to think in less than a year of the improvements they've made, even dropping the build a batmobile for an actual baf where you dont need 6-7 figs. Gotta support for that alone.
