Lead by a mysterious shadow through a storage locker that has been magically transformed into a colourful alternate reality, Adaline chases the shadow through the fantastical words contained in each locker until eventually the shadow chases her. The shadow represents the pursuit of sexual gratification in an empty relationship, the central theme of the song - an insatiable and futile chase that turns on you in the end.

The things that consistently blow me away about your music is 1) how listenable it is and 2) the enduring nature of it. Your music is some of the most listenable that I have heard. The way your songs and albums tell a riveting and compelling story, from start to finish, in a such a thoughtful and purposeful way floors me. It is like a truly well written novel, easy to find and keep the plot but never simple or boring, only you’ve done it through music. The music itself is flawless. From the arrangement to the vocals to the instrumentals and even the placement of the songs in the albums are brilliant. The enduring nature of your music speaks for itself. Here I am two years later enjoying this song/album as much as I did when I first listened to it. I don’t tire of your music the way I do of other artists, albums, or songs. And this is a pattern I see in all your work, from Famous for Fire to Modern Romantics to Aquatic to Dear Illusion. I come back to them again and again, so often like one does a favorite book. Can’t wait to see what is next.
