I was having such issues with the holographic vinyl. I'm trying this again tonight and hopefully this will work. Thanks as always Melodylane.
I think weeding it is aweful it comes off in layers not happy with it, that is the htv holographic vinyl
Now if only cricut would come out with a transparent version of this. Imagine that as an overlay on top of magical print then cut images. How dreamy!

so cool. I am ordering transfer paper on payday. had a friend give me a huge tub of sticker-vynyll. 18 different kinds rolled on as big as the large roll of craft foam tape. she used it with a big machine. she got a larger one so she gave me all her remaining rolls. enough for a lifetime. ive never gotton around to using it. I'm getting a ton of transfer and having a crop!

I have so many questions lol. I’m a beginner beginner. Like why won’t vinyl lay down on the mat? Do I take the back paper off the vinyl before I put it in the mat? What color should the font be when you make it in design space? I think I need to take a class lol
I really wish Cricut would offer selling this in 12X12 sheets instead of rolls. I find the rolled more annoying to work with.

As Melody mentioned, The easy way to flatten them I would considered gravity, and a press, a good way to make a press requires clamps and wood piece that's flat and wider than the actual dimensions that you wanted.

I have the cricut joy and a printed holo vinyl (it has leopard print on it) it's by paper studio and it's so frustrating to weed! I even did what someone suggested, made 6 duplicates and layered the word on top of each other and attached them together, I put the cut pressure on more. It doesn't weed like butter. It leaves jagged pieces and rips. It really sucks that I'm having trouble with the vinyls. I just figured out a way for the regular vinyl to weed easier but I really want the holo vinyl and fancy letters. Ughh

I usually cut my transfer tape a big larger than my project. It's easier that way. I also use a plastic dish scraper and dentist tools for weeding. You don't have to buy every tool from Cricut. This video was nice. It could have been a bit shorter if you are not a beginner, but what I'd like to know more about is that cutter she is using for the vinyl. I feel like she went into a lof of detail all except for that cutter thing! LOL

Hi Melody! Thanks for this great vid!! You mentioned you need to buy more of the Holographic Vinyl, I said that same thing, LOL!! I now have 3 of each color they offer so far~ I wish Cricut would come out with more than 3 for us! I bought the 3, then I recieved them, and thought OMG I need MORE!! So I doubled up on all 3 colors, making 3 each now! I should be good for awhile ;)

I tried using the holographic HTV yesterday and it was very very hard to weed. I tried using the vinyl-iron on setting but it was still giving me a hard time

Gosh! I purchased a whole roll thinking it would be pretty on a tshirt it"s more like a sticker Not sure if I used it wrong? but then again this kind may not be for t-shirts more like labeling items.

I wrapped a tumbler with my red thread holographic vinyl. It looked so gorgeous until it started peeling clear layers off
Thats the issue with vinyl instead of infusible ink. Vinyl is great but it will eventually peel

So I can use the smaller pieces for another project? Meaning, I don't have to place a 12x12 piece of vinyl for the machine to pick up the area where the material is?
cristina jones I just watched Cricut tutorial on this...use snapmat, you place the material “scrap/piece” on your mat, take a picture of your mat in the “snapmat” feature, then upload what you want cut out of the “scrap/piece”... I do not know if Melodylane has a video on this or not...

To day I wanted to create a name to go on a tee shirt and can't figure out to get it to do a mirror print so I can iron it to the shirt. Can you help?
that design was nice although I'm not sure it was Holographic because I just bought some holographic sparkling vinyl and looks a lil different than that. But I still like your design.

I'm loving that vinyl and thank you for the informational video..... I'd like to make a suggestion without sounding rude or mean and it's by far not my intentions at all but I'd suggest when speaking during a tutorial, try talking normal like you would if you're talking to a friend, it almost felt as if you were trying to explain everything to children like a teacher would to elementary kids. It's only in some parts of your video. It would make viewers feel more comfortable if that makes sense.

I've wasted so much holographic vinyl 😩 my issue is the film over the holographic vinyls. I've tried with it on and with it off and my vinyl doesn't stick to the transfer paper OR if it does, it won't stick to whatever im trying to put it on. Please help
Clean what your putting it on with alcohol. I never had trouble with what you are having.
