  • There are a ton of videos on installing the control arms, but this one covers how to set up a set of rear upper and lower adjustable control arms on a 2004 Jeep Wrangler. The process should be similar for most Jeeps.

Dude, thank you. I’ve owned my TJ for over three years and have been looking for a good video on how to set up adjustable control arms besides just pinion angle. Finally! Thank you so much! Great video!

Glad I found this video. I got a TJ with a 3.5 inch JKS lift, ever since it was installed this jeep drives terrible on anything not pavement, extremely crazy vibration, cant go faster than literally 1 mph. Any ideas?

It's likely a driveline angle issue. I would check the front and rear driveshaft. If it does not have a slip yoke eliminator and the pinion angle right, it will cause horrible vibration.

@@KonaBlueSVT that's probably what's going on, I dropped it off at a new jeep mechanic (not the ones who installed the lift) and i'll see what they say.

I notice that you're still running a 1" skid plate drop, which is one way to remove driveline vibration. I've wanted to add adjustable control arms so that I can get rid of my skid plate spacers. Now that your angles are lined up, are you going to take off spacers? Although, you need to check angles again, because removing that will tweak your current settings.

I am going to keep them for now. My front would be OK, but without double cardan joints in the back, I would be worried about vibrations still.

Can apply this procedure on my 2015 jeep jku? I have 4.5 lift with metalcloak drop bracket and adjustable lower and upper control arm.
