Just started installation on my 727 paired to a big block in my 76 power wagon. Not sure why but there's a bunch of problems mounting the brackets. The 2nd bracket secured by 1 bolt is bent in the wrong position and seems like it won't even reach. I'm going to make it work. But for everyone else wondering if this will work for a big block 4x4 package.. NO IT WONT.
I have a b&m at the moment and when it works it's fine but you have to run a cable for them not brackets like this and with the cable I have a 440 in a abody car and it's really tight I've melted 2 cables because I can't route them away from heat enough this would solve it.
are you using the band adjustment for mounting bracket?
Buy that man some tools!!! I see an adjustable wrench, I walk away. Looks like a nice piece, though.
what about the kickdown/throttle pressure cable? you run this at max pressure?
Does this work with 4x4 big block 727?
Cut up your casting On the 4x4
Remove the trans cooler.
Bend the plates to fit.
Instructions suck.

I'm trying to make it work on a 92 Cummins .
Half way there.
is the a518 a727 transmission tuff how much horsepower can they handle
A518 a little less but the 727 can hold 650hp with no issues the a518 have problems breaking out put shafts
This doesn’t look fun when trans is in car
I bet this shifter will work with a 47rh.
How much does this kit cost????
+Luis Malo $300 shipped
believe Hurst or b&m is just as good or better. probably a lot cheaper too!

Was the announcer for "American Shifter" standing in a hallway or echo chamber 15ft from the mic, when that was recorded!?!?!?
I’ll stick to hurst or b&m. Also don’t use a damn crescent wrench use the right wrench for Pete sake
Silly! Cable shifters are way better!
