honestly: close to cry, just cry because of the joy and luck to be "linked" by u-tube algorithms to watch this!!! I am a folkboatsailor for at least 30+ years and this video ist showing me the essence of why we sail!! THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!
With a view to the title, Colin Archer is the boat, named after its Norwegian designer of the same name, not the boy in khaki shorts setting the sails.
Wow, emozionante. I tuoi gesti, il tuo modo di lavorare, mi fanno tornare bambino. Quando leggevo i libri coi pirati o quando guardavo i film con i bucanieri. Sono gesti di altri tempi. Spero un giorno di limitarti. .....
Hej landsgranne! What a wonderful video. I'm dreaming about getting a Colin archer or ingrid. Trying to get a grasp on the maintenance costs before I pull the trigger.
Thank you for an insightful tour of the rig work. Never knew the peak halyard system is designed in two steps. Hope I didn't get that wrong. Is it to facilitate quick scandalizing of the sail and is the two-step hoist a safety feature so that even if the second step hoist fails and came crashing down, it is only the top part collapsing and the bottom first part firmly secured? I do wonder.
Hi Joseph, IF the peak-halyardin-two-steps-system was used in the old days is uncertain, but anyhow; we have found it most useful. It has to be said at the same time that we use scandalizing A LOT in the daily maneuvering. For those who don't, this might be just another complicating detail. But for us, it is important that we find solutions to eliminate danger. We also use scandalizing when jibing in rough downwind to reduce stress on the rig when the gaff swings over. Especially when sailing with unexperienced crew, it is easy to ask them to scandalize. In this way, it is easy and safe to scandalize for everyone. The bottom first part is secured all the time, until the sail goes down after docking. Se also ua-cam.com/video/8s04RPieAjs/v-deo.html
The material is called "classic", looks like cotton. We need to use modern materials in ropes and sails to save money and keep easy handling. Easy changeable the day we need RS1 to be 100 % original
A picture of excellence.
Thanks!!!!

Thank You,for shearing.
This is the most beautiful rig of any vessel.
Lovely. You can see why seamen of old mostly all had hernias.

Short handed? No problem. Great job, Tor.
Благодарю за подробный и информативный обзор. Работ по постановке и проводке такелажа и в частности за работу с Триселем.
Thanks Sargon! Good luck on your projects.
My dream boat.
Beautiful!
Nice video. Learned a lot. It would be nice to see how you reef your main sail, as well as how you "scandalize" it.
More videos are planned, stay tuned!
Håper det kommer flere videoer i sommer! :)

@@eplevelsen Thank you so much.
Very good. Excelent.
Ja de liefde voor dit type schip is onuitspreekbaar❤😅😊
Beautiful. Exhausting for a lubber like me but beautiful
Thanks Brian!!
Great video! Am I right in that all the sails are cotton?

Please.Do you know the site self
How to change the “tack” of the topsail?
Hi Adrian, Topsail stays on the port side on both tacks. We have to accept poor shape on the port tack, but that's how the Archer rig works!
bella barca.
Is she that is Colin, a Lugger rig, please
Thank you very interested
Nice!
😃👍👌
I was sweating just watching the video
❤️👍
Then all you need is a Force 10 to shift it !!
