We had a 3 day break in the famous Island of Boracay, known as one of the best places in the world to vacation. I haven't been back in over 2 years, has it changed?

Aloha! Happy Independence Weekend! 🇺🇸🎂🎆🎇Not disagreeing with you, I think she does look more secure & happy. This is my opinion (woman’s intuition), as good a guess as anybody’s🙂. Cat seemed comfortable & actually carried herself with a quiet confidence in her introductory TPL vlog. She seemed shy, & was probably a bit nervous to meet someone whom she had viewed as “celebrity” & attractive, & a foreigner who didn’t speak her language; but she was not excessively shy (to my observation). ‘Course we only saw a snippet of their meeting. I don’t consider her desire to limit camera time to necessarily be due to lack of confidence. Could be lotsa reasons behind that, including respecting her family of origin’s or even Mike’s wishes (perhaps)//What I hope is that Cat will not feel pressured to meet any of our expectations, to present in specific ways e.g. affectionate, demonstrative, comfortable, confident, invested; although I’m very interested as a viewer in seeing & learning about her. She has a lot of irons in the fire. I will, like most of us, be glad for the intermittent times she is featured more prominently, as in this video.
First time ive ever heard you refer to catherine as darlin ...awesome .love seeing what you two have built together .its enough for me here in the uk to see vids of people loving on each other like this ,spending time working on life together . God bless you both , i wish all the best for you .

Mike I was laughing while watching this because back in April 2022 I travelled to Philippines from NJ to no not only meet my now wife but to take her to Boracay. That is where I proposed to her while at Hennan Crystal Sands. But the funny part is we had that exact same weather. Unreal! But it was such a memorable time for us and the weather couldn't dampen our fun and experience. You and Kat really seem to be good for each other. Awesome. You both deserved that break.
The walk back from the beach during the torrential rain storm reminded me of some very nice trout streams in Eastern Montana....

I stayed at nigi nigi's over new years, the band took a break while everyone went onto the beach to watch the fireworks 🇨🇦 10/10 would visit again.

Hahaha thats the philippines i know during rainy season. Kat doesn't need to show affection towards you on camera, shes just being herself. You can see how happy you are is enough. Its funny how people think they know you and how your relationship is just on your vlogs, as viewers we are just seeing a snippet. Soldier on and wish you both the best👍
I don't really get it that you're projecting what you wish Katherine has to behave. It is extremely rare for a Filipino couple abroad or in the Philippines to show affection genuinely. Look at yourself in the mirror first or see understand the general Filipino culture before comparing.

We stayed at hennan palm and also the prime. Liked them both,,,but preferred Prime… further up the beach and more quiet.

I stayed at that same hotel for a week. Very nice place.
Can't wait for the reality channel. With what little I've caught glimpses of the Beaver staff from your channel (and the few other vloggers who vlogged there), your staff are already my rock stars. Jam and Luis and the rest seem a fun bunch.

Beautiful place really busy I don’t think I like all that busyness but it’s beautiful and looks like a nice place to hang out for a little bit
Suggestion: enjoy a beverage, slushie and/or appetizer @ CB, meet & chat with the staff & maybe Michael & Catherine….then for your full meal & different ambience just head down the beach to beachfront Bitoy’s, which was Mike’s fave restaurant & hang-out prior to his purchase of CB. & Bitoy’s owner is one of M’s business partners🙂It is all synergistic

Love how Kat was surveying the area to get ideas for the bar. You've got the right woman behind you. We're planning on a trip to Iloilo next summer...it will be my husband's first time in the country...hope to make it out to Roxas for a couple of days...I've got the Beaver on my list
There are some low level streets and small alleys that are flooded during rainy days in Boracay but in general it is not the case that is why the best time to visit the plqce is during summer.
Just to clarify....you mean 'summer' in the Philippines which is typically March - early June. Summer for many parts of the world (north of the equator) include June - August.
@@artvandelay409 yep our summertime is actually from January to June and the rainy season is mid June until December. But September to December though officially declared as rainy season, the rains are moderate and mostly sunny days.

Gorgeous views! Surprised there were so many people on Monday and ‘off season’.
We lucked out in booking a similar pool-side room last year in July also because Henann Palm Beach was by the beach. It was the cheapest out of all the Henann hotels at booking too. The pool was our insurance in case we got rained out of the beach (it was a rainy week). Glad the stay was refreshing for you and Kat. It definitely was for us. My girlfriend and I will never forget it.

Love Boracay. Stayed in same place with pool access but disappointed not on beach. I’ve stayed at Fairway and Bluewater also nice big resort with private beach. Going back in a few months and will stay at Red Coconut on beach near Dmall. I live in Makati and may venture to Roxas City and visit your new bar soon. Enjoy and live life to its fullest. It’s more fun in the Philippines. Mabuhay

Looks like you guys enjoyed your mini vacation. When you went to the beach and I saw all the people trying to sell tours and things it reminded of Alona Beach in Bohol. You guys make a great couple and Kat is getting more relaxed on camera. She is a keeper

I stayed at Nigi Nigi,s for a week. Had a garden bungalow. It was awesome. Fantastic place. Have a great vacation ❤

The Henann Lagoon resort is where my Asawa stayed when we were there. It's an awesome place to stay, the food was amazing. I'd love to go back when I go back to the Philippines, but this trip we'll be going to a different island.
we stayed at Mandarin Bay in April - its a great place, the buffet is great. Really nice place.
Am glad you both got a break. Boracay is kind of touristy, isn't it? lol... The rain probably cooled off the pool quite a bit too. The pool did look great though, right out of your hotel room, nice! Thanks for showing us your tip to Boracay. Until you next video, Michael...Jim

Sad reality every rainy season. Wala parin solusyon ang baha sa usual na mga kalsadang binabaha noon at ngayon. Also no public toilets that should be convenient in a famous tourist place

I always book myself with Pearl of the Pacific (family friend). If only you have seen Boracay in the early 80’s, it was a paradise without footprints in the sand.
Rainy days is coming bad for the vocation but nice resort henann crystal sand resorts love it ,good day enjoy ingat fr bulacan
Too bad you couldn't catch the Diamond sunset cruise. We enjoyed it on our honeymoon, in February.
We found Nigi nigi Nu Noos the best place in Boracay, the Hennan Hotel looks similar to one in Bohol, which was excellent, in Cebu we found Fili Hotel fantastic and Best Western (Stayed 3 times) lower star but better value in Cebu
Glad you're all getting a break... Borcay.. just too many there for me.. but have amazing time 😉 Hotels and food looks great. One thing I wonder is why the pools are all so shallow here in the Philippines

Heart of Rainy Season haha. Hennan Prime is super nice...on the beach and more exclusive and about 6k a night. Wow...still crowded during rainy season. Surprising

Such a pleasant vibe to this video. It's very refreshing to see you relax and enjoy some peace with your darling Kat. Your room is super cool, if you move the tables on the patio, you could literally roll out of your bed and into the pool. That might make an embarrassing short, however lol.
Very nice you ran into JR of JRC Consulting. in my limited dealings with him so far, he has been exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable, and I fully endorse him for all immigration / visa topics.
Everyone says you don't want to live there (including Mike 2 years ago), but it looks like some pretty great living to me.
It's a great place for short term but after a while you miss the conveniences that are not available plus everything is 4x the price.
That dirty water worries me...

There are like 7 different Henanns on Boracay, but I only stay at the beachfront Henanns, because if you stay at the main road hotels you have to walk down these alleyways that are crater-filled and unlighted. and if it is raining they easily get flooded.
the hotel provides a free shuttle bus and there are proper roads that lead to the beach from the hotel...Michael chose to walk down an alley.
Why LGU in Boracay not required their streets cluttered free?

Well deserved vacation! Glad you guys were able to take time off and have some together time, you two look very happy together. I'll be there early Jan @ the Henann Regency; too bad the Beaver isn't closer would have loved to take a short side trip. Maybe next time will visit Roxas City proper.
I'm booked into the Bor Ocean Club Beach resort next month right on the beach with 2 pools and a pool on by balcony P7k a night... Can't wait even if it's raining I don't care 🍻
You say that the resort across from you of the bar has a big pool in it maybe you can make an arrangement to have some sort of membership where you can use the pool in the gym and stuff

yo michael!!!!.... i had a 4 thousand deposit like you guys. I drank so much at the pool bar I ended up owing them money by the end. Jeric and Gerald (bartenders) are my boys. They took super great care of MJ and I. Speaking of MJ she will be joining me in the states in T-MINUS 36 HOURS.
Nice hotel. It's the cheapest of all the Henann hotels in Boracay. My favorite is Boracay Ocean Club Beach Resort.
Always head up to Puka Beach in north end. White beach too much 'noise'.
Best time to go there is March-May where the sand is scorching hot and no rain

Does a guy called Nolly still bartend at Nigi Nigi Nu Noo's bar? He was a great character when I spent a week there in August 2014. The food was excellent there too. I also experienced flooding there after a category 1 typhoon past through.

same with my Filipina wife. When we started dating (she was from the province too) she didn't like the idea of wearing a bikini because she felt naked. It took me several times to convince her to wear one at the resorts in the Philippines. 17 years later and now we're living in Canada and she wears the sexiest tiniest bikinis. lol

You should have stayed at Henann Palm Beach Resort, right on the beach! You must have forgotten the only place the main road is close to the beach is in station one.
Roxas city beach is more relaxing than Boracay which is crowded and Everything is pricey
You cannot compare the beaches though. Rozas City doesn't have that white powdery sand.
