Thank you for your tutorials. I was desperately seeking a close knit textured stitch that looked good front and back and here it is. What a lovely pattern. I wanted it for floor cloths, but I've moved on to wash cloths and am due to start a bath mat.

Ive done this pattern twice now and neither time did I get the diamond shapes. I followed it exactly as you had posted on screen in vid. When it didn't work a on a second dishcloth I looked up the pattern on different video. It was similar rows in different order. Not sure how a different pattern can get exact same results but Ill let you know after i try that one.

Remember that they knit force and back. If you want the pattern to work for knitting in the round, you need to reverse the sts shown on back rows. Then rows 3 and 4 are the same, as rows 7 and 8.
It could be. The thicker yarn is, the harder it is to see knit/purl patterns like this one. Some people have complained that the pattern doesn't work so that might also be it. I still want to try it with worsted weight or DK and see if it works right.
No!!! U need to knit those rows. If it were a purl on standard needles, u now to think in terms that you are not turning your work with its backside to you. So now u need to knit the even rows, not purl!
There are so many on the net who come here and they speak no English. Just watching is easy. I like this site because there is no useless, mindless chatter about subjects that have nothing to do with what is being shown and I appreciate the silence. Some videos like this I see and the sound of the person's voice is just terrible and I have to go somewhere else. All I have to do here is....watch.

mine has come out perfectly : you only see the pattern on larger piece ie cast on more sts and do at least 3 pattern repeats.

I'm using a loom, i used baby blanket yarn. and it came out nothing like this cant even see a pattern. Is the yarn too thick??
