Shout out to you for listing the LCI drip rails. Nobody that I've found with the LCI tails ever mentions the updated rails to keep water out of our $300+ lights
I had mine installed for a week and noticed some condensation in my taillights. Unfortunately later in the night my right outer stopped working so going to have to purchase the LCI drip rails. Luckily I can return the taillights thru Amazon and replace em!
DEPO taillights don’t even last a year (multiple issues including reverse light malfunctioning and lights completely going out on longer drives). Avoid DEPO and Unique Style Racing (USR)
Truly excellent, thorough overview with many useful tips. Very well done. The hardest part of this job is seating the trunk-mounted taillights. It took me a long time to get mine to clip in. At one point, I didn’t think I could get them to seat properly at all. I have the identical, black-line taillights on a pre-LCI car. I am aware of many complaints by owners of these lights that the ballast get super hot, and are a potential fire hazard. How have yours been holding up?
Hi, Now on the site it says these aren’t compatible for pre 2016 non LCI models. I know yours is a 2014 so was this product different when you made the video?
So there are DEPO Blacklines that are meant for LCI models. So I dont think those come with the little resistors/modules. When you place an order, just make sure it works with LCI models as well.
Mine are not, no. But I have seen people add a resistor or whatever to make it sequential. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of sequential on this car anyway.
Hey I’m trynna get a diffuser that has a light in the middle of it so if u press the brakes it lights up but idk how I would connect it to sync with when I press on my brakes
@@JG-ql7ne i don't think theres a way to code that. Either use bluetooth or buy an aftermarket headunit that has apple carplay and everything to hook your phone up thats the route I took. Amazing
I am living proof that it does in fact fit prelci cars. My car is a 2014 and it was a complete swap over. If you follow my video instructions, it works 100%
Anothet video where when it comes to the cruicual installation bit...it just cuts to a point where its completed rather than showing the progress. Hate vidoes like that
Not sure what youre talking about. The video explains everything. There is also a PART 2 video for the additional wiring. So maybe thats what you're missing.
Been waiting ages for this! Sick video!
Atif Ahad sorry to keep you waiting! Hahaha! Install day 2 video will be tomorrow!
Accelerated Motion can’t wait! Love your videos
Atif Ahad truly appreciate the comments man!

I figured someone might want to buy the LCI ones! :)
Accelerated Motion Did you end up purchasing the updated rails? Any issues 9mo later?
@@schnibbyy no, I did not purchase LCI drip rails and didn’t have issues
Has to be one of best mods for an f series I assume cause they dope af.
Couldn’t agree more
Great video! Super thorough and helpful. Thanks!
Thank you! Appreciate the comment!

Sorry to hear that! Drip rails should help for sure!
@@accelerated_motion blessing in disguise, I ordered GTS style and they went to easy lol
Great video, thanks. UA-cam does not auto suggest day 2, a link would be good :)
Thank you for the comment! Great suggestion! I just updated both of my videos with links! Smart idea!
Very helpful video and good quality! Clean and simple good job.
Glad it was helpful! Appreciate the comment!
lol "day 1" i was like ... are there multiple days to this installation or what? haha
Afterhours Channel hahaha no I just broke the video up into two since it was getting so long! Didn’t want to lose people’s attention!🙂
Excellent video. Taillights look pretty sick.
thanks man! appreciate the feedback!
Turn signal isn't working properly? The inner portion of the light is also supposed to light up
imkirbo see install day 2 video. I connect the inner turn signals🙂
Cool thanks for posting 👍
No problem 👍 Thanks for watching!
your car sounds better than my M3
Hahaha I dont know about that! But thanks!
Looks really good with your color car! Do you think it would look good with the glacier silver metallic color? That’s what I’m rocking, but 328i.
snarplaya thanks! I don’t think I’ve seen these tails on silver but I’m sure it’ll be good!
Man I can’t get that plastic thing to latch back in! When putting the light back on
Gotta keep playing with it. Do not force it, otherwise you'll bend or break the plastic. Its all about the angle.

Thank you for the comment! No issues with these lights whatsoever.
Almost the exact same look, not really gonna go crazy over not changing these right away.
Totally different look. This mod was my favorite on this car, hands down. The LCI tails look so much cleaner and newer.
Awesome video ! . Just one question. Will this require coding afterwards to avoid error codes?
Luis Morales great question! No coding required with these! Plug and play!
Hi,
Now on the site it says these aren’t compatible for pre 2016 non LCI models. I know yours is a 2014 so was this product different when you made the video?
I think its just labeled wrong on USR's website. You could send them a message and verify.
Hey bro if u have an lci f30 do u need those modules tht u had to connect as well? Or are those only for pre-lci’s
So there are DEPO Blacklines that are meant for LCI models. So I dont think those come with the little resistors/modules. When you place an order, just make sure it works with LCI models as well.
18:35 shouldn't both pieces of the tail light blink on a turn signal? The portion on the trunk doesn't blink.
You have to watch install day 2 video where I do the inner tails and wire them
It used to be orange blikers all the time then they changed to all red tail lights. Now back to orange signal lights lol😆
EsspressoMan1 I don’t mind the orange turn signals. Usually I would prefer red turn signals but meh lol
Can these be installed on pre lci or LCI? Like is the harnesses different?
Should work on both prelci and lci models.
Are these tail lights not sequential?
Mine are not, no. But I have seen people add a resistor or whatever to make it sequential. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of sequential on this car anyway.
would these fit on a 2014 335i?
Danny Jandali sure will! Mine is 2014
Does it fit on the 2012 BMW 3 SERIES
328i?
Chocolatek1ng it sure does!
@@accelerated_motion Thank U
You showed us the easy thing, but why dont you show how to wire the inner turn signals?I mean not just say it but do it.
Otherwise they look great 👌
I did. Watch the Install Day 2 video right after this one.
@@accelerated_motion Didn't see it sorry pal 😉
@@Din9mir all good man! Thanks for watching!

J G I think you’d have to run the wire through the firewall where the battery sits, then fish it up to the taillights and splice the wire in.
Accelerated Motion ok one more thing. My usb doesn’t support my phone and idk what to do to make it work
J G that usb port doesnt work with new iphones im pretty sure. Back then you needed a pigtail cable
JayCookies I got a 2013 328 could I code it to work ?

These are the Depo cheese version...., LCI tail lights aren’t they ?
DEPO brand LCI Blackline taillights
Does it fit '17 430i?
No - the 4series has different taillights than the 3series
Zion Ariel 3 series tail lights don’t fit on 4 series make sure you get f31 lights not f30
@@rakshankandaiah1531 correct - i think he edited his post. Initially it just said sedan.
The description on usr says it's not for pre LCIs
I am living proof that it does in fact fit prelci cars. My car is a 2014 and it was a complete swap over. If you follow my video instructions, it works 100%
do you have to order the wire harnesses seperate ? mine didn’t come w them
You have to order the 2012-2015 model LCI taillights. Then it comes with the harness.
Is the left tail light installed yet?
That's a 10 min job lol
Everything is installed.
@@accelerated_motion btw I was joking you did a good job 😁
