A dog's love is unconditional. They're always happy to see you, and they will give their lives to save yours. It's been 10 years since I had to put my Bassett Hound down cuz of old age. I can't have a dog in my apartment so I haven't had one since.. I still miss him.
Magnificent and tremendous film... it's hard to see films like this these days... two great actors Brad Renfro Joseph Mazzello and they definitely take the applause for their excellent performance. Rest in peace Brad.

I was 10 when this movie came out and I remember wanting to watch it because of how obsessed I was with Jurassic Park. I loved it so much! It did concern my mother a bit due to how sad of a movie it is, but I rented it from the local video store all the time. Also, seeing all of the different comments from so many different years ago (adding on top of the movie already being almost 30 years old) we can also add nostalgia to the already sad content. What a whammy! I still continue to introduce this movie (and a few others) to as many people as I can.
