Why the f*** are we talking about a show? Did anyone just watch that actual performance? THAT is the show! Damn that was passionate, genuine and one of the most emotionally live performances I've seen. It beyond stands on it's own and has no place being relegated to the background of whatever pop culture fluff it's likely attached to. I've got goosebumps thanks to this band! :O
Bryan I have been lucky enough to see them live 6 times and each time they have made me feel the same, they are one of the best bands in the world live, and I have seen a lot of bands in my time!! If you get the chance go and see them, I know you will go again and again once you have seen them once.
George, thanks for the comment. Since the day I've commented on here I've bought both albums and have only become more of a fan. The band has become one of my bucket list bands to see live. :)
Bryan, do me a favour, when you do get to see them, can you let me know what your opinion is ? I love to hear from people who have never seen them live, to hear their open minded and un biased opinion, based on only how they rated the GIG.I am confident you will be very impressed, but having said that, some gigs were better than others as they feed off feedback and audience participation. Happy Hogmanay BTW.
Thing is the show made me know this guys. It's been 5years and I just realised how i knew them.

This episode actually made me cry. So raw and emotional. PERFECT song for the ending. We'll always love you Rebekah ❤️
I'm back. LOL This is the song that carried me through the beginning of my journey and it's my swan song out of this as well. It's a bookend. It carried me through the pain of losing both my grandparents within a years time. It started before this year when my grandmother had a heart attack while both were in their 80's still living in the house I stayed at for half of my childhood. It was completely out of nowhere and it lead to falls and recoveries and falls and recoveries. Everything changed. The song let me feel pain and it gave me energy. The writer wrote it as his journey out of a bad place and a reawakening. I used it as my journey through a bad place and to give me energy towards what I still had in life. In the final act I see it as my grandfathers journey towards my grandmother. I now hear the "Come on home, it's over now" as my grandmothers voice towards my grandfather. Over the year I've felt emotionally drained, cynical and sometimes even blank but this song always makes you feel. I have a lot of songs that make me feel but only a handful of staples. I've posted this song ad nauseam but it was relevant until the journey ended. Probably one of the most meaningful, beautiful soulful connections I've had musically.
Rewatching The Originals with my gf of 2yrs, the last time I watched this...and heard this song was over 10yrs ago with my now exfiance. This song truly has new meaning and understanding for me now...

Music is passion, emotions, love, anger, and talent. These guys are really good at it.
I've been a huge fan since these guys recorded under the name of Pela. They give the most awesome heartfelt performances of just about any band I know. They've come such a long way and there's no end in sight. This is amazing.
This song is great. Thank you KEXP for giving someone in Sydney a chance to listen to all this talent.

There are two types of people in the world. Those that saw Augustines play live and those that sadly didn't. Great times.

I saw these guys in Amsterdam 10yrs ago at a small venue. Me and the girlfriend were spellbound by them. Had some drinks with them after, total class acts, everyone of them. I wish them the best and hope their success is everything they wish for.

Saw The Augustine's last night in Gateshead. It was one of the best concerts I have ever seen, in my top 5, others are The Clash, Led Zeppelin, Springsteen and The Duke and the King. It was an amazing concert if they are in your hometown go and see them. Mind blowing
The person who mixes at kexp is the true hero... for real. Look up any song live that kexp has and its better.
