  • I wanted something under 250g. Easy to build and easy to fly. Suitable for beginner pilots. I know it is not the most incredible RC plane on the internet, but it flies pretty well.
    Link to maiden flight: • My first building and ...

    Wingspan: 600mm
    Length: 480mm
    Flight weight of about 186g

    Propeller: 5045 CCW
    7.4V 300Mahv - 450Mah LiPo battery 2S
    5mm foam board
    I want to share what I have built next with this power pack.

    Nice first build, flies great. With some experience, there's no end to what you can build with adams foam board. I've built a couple of 6S EDF jets. Lately, I've been watching Numa Vig and Julius Perdamo, both you tube channel names. Both are epic builders using depron/xps foam which is nicer than adam's, if you can get it.

    I finished my replica of your plane and got to try it this morning. I've never flown anything before so I was prepared for it to be all over in 5 seconds. Well it is actually pretty rugged because I got to launch it about 5 times before it hit a tree and the front skewer got ripped out.
    I thought it would have plenty of power but it seemed to struggle a bit. It is possible the CG was off. Anyways, it was a lot of fun, even the crashes. Thanks again for sharing your plans.

      @@simeonparvanov Ha! I just discovered I had my throttle curve set to max out at 50%. I had the profile set like that for my "wingless plane" (video on my channel) which had an overly powerful 2212 motor. Looking forward to trying again with full power but we have rainy weather ahead and I have a few repairs to do.

    First of all, thank you for the video. Thank you for your efforts.Is there any problem if we use 3mm foamboard ?
    If it can be made from 3mm foamboard, should we also change the power and dimensions of the motor and propelle r? What should be the power of the engine and the size of the propeller ?
    ( I have a 3mm foamboard in my hand. I want to use it, that's why I'm asking.)

    • @simeonparvanov
      @simeonparvanov  4 місяці тому

      You can use a 3 mm foam board for the wing and you can double the side of the fuselage to keep it relatively durable.

    Thanks for documenting this. I have started building this as my first RC plane. Questions about the thrust angle: did you just trim the fuselage a bit to get those angles? How did you arrive at those values?

    • @simeonparvanov
      @simeonparvanov  Рік тому +1

      Yes, it isn't easy to be precise at home without proper tools but Trust angles are recommended but not required and can be 0 degrees if that is easier for you. I just trimmed the fuselage a little bit.

    Do you think it would still fly if it used rudder to turn instead of Alirons?

    • @simeonparvanov

      Yes. You can upgrade it to 4 channels and it will still fly.
