Moving thermal res from the bulkheads to a reinforcement package instead (preferably the smallest one) and having heavy duty on the bulkheads actually gives higher hp across the board, this is because heavy duty has a greater effect on bulkheads and thermal res will have the same effect whether it's on bulkheads or a small reinforcement package
Awesome, looking to get back into elite and love the Vulture so it's probably a good low cost and fun ship to get back into the groove. I think I was half way through engineering one before I quit as I was getting bored of the sluggish handling with the krait etc Also I was devastated that the Vulture wasn't one of the new variants. It's literally perfect for it
@CaptainBrash Yeah, the Vulture is an amazing ship, definitely an outlier for the smalls. It's a great way to learn combat and improve your flying skills.
The Vulture is the ship that let me enjoy combat in Elite: Dangerous. Prior to getting it combat just never clicked for me...it always felt like a tedious chore. Flying the Vulture reminded me of the A-Wing in the original X-Wing game; that was by far my favourite ship, the speed and manoeuvrability were awesome. I run the twin frag setup, with two G5 Overcharged, one with Corrosive ammo the other Incendiary. It * tears* through NPC ships in HazRes and CZs. Never tried it in PvP as I tend to play solo, but I imagine it would have much more difficulty there. That said, there's plenty of videos of players in the inevitable FdL getting their comeuppance for underestimating a Vulture. EDIT: I also have the 4C fuel tank as an optional. For me it's absolutely essential. Without it the Vulture's range is appalling, I mean something like 50 or 60ly per tank even with an A-rated SCO drive.
Heya @Slamscape-X! Nice build. What would you change in this build if we don't have access to engineering yet? I'm a quite newbie player and I'm playing with pulse lasers and multicannon for the simple of it. Thanks for this video, im definetely subscribed.
Without engineering, the core internals and optional internals should still work, swap out that extra fuel tank for another hull reinforcement. Pulse and multicannon is a solid choice as well, in the utility slots you can probably only run 2 A rated shield boosters, you won't have enough power for more than that.
My Vulture has short range inertial impact burst lasers. Doesn't waste fuel so I can equip a 4A hull reinforcement. And it's still effective enough against small targets because lasers are hitscan.
I used the power play plasma accelerators from Denton Patreus . Same build , effecient with power slug Did anyone compare them to the regular ones ? what did you think ?
I unfortunately don't have access to them yet, I believe on paper the advanced PAs have a slightly higher sustained dps. I think the normal PAs favor a more jousting/alpha strike style, and the advanced are more for dogfighting. Also you might run out of weapon power more often with the advanced PAs.

@velocita84 good to know, I'll have to work that into my next build

You did a great job explaining everything in your video. Excellent on the Vulture.
Glad you liked it, thank you.

@timogreen6209 thank you, I hope it was helpful.

I can't aim plasmas very well but I absolutely love my frag vulture
Is your build pretty similar?
I always felt that frags would be fun on something thats fast.
It took me a while to get comfortable with plasma
I'm a big fan of my dual pacifier build
@BarbarisII That is a fun build too

@rocket2739 That's definitely a viable loadout too
