I was crushed when Paul suffered his ko loss and I was crushed when he suffered the accident. But he is handling it all like the champion that he is. God bless him.

Tactical error by Quintana here. Once he got hurt he stayed within Paul's range by staying mid range. He kind of just stayed in the middle of everything. Should have focused on holding or just do circles in the ring and stay away from Paul's range.

I don’t know if you saw him when he first got clipped before the first knockdown he was trying to hold Williams but Williams was using his reach to push him way and then he was getting caught. The fight was essentially over after that first knock down anyways. He was stunned, his brain wasn’t working properly that’s why he was stumbling around. It’s easy to dissect a performance and saying shoulda coulda wudda when you’re watching a fight from a laptop or an iPad or something. When you just got your bell rung and you’re getting hit over and over again it’s a different story.

@@jrayner21679 He looked doomed but should have just put up a high guard rather than rely on movement when his legs were gone. He still kept his hands down while he was hurt. But there's also truth to what Vladiator said, at 8:25 he stepped back on his own and that's when Paul started to land again. He should have kept holding him.

I couldn't agree more. I'm pretty shaken by this injury. There is seriously not a harder working guy with his heart always in the right place in any sport more so than Paul Williams. It's just heartbreaking that this happened to him.

Paul probably would’ve beat Floyd but honestly Imo Paul was never a true welterweight. He just had a tall slim but strong frame that could make the weight but his true division was middleweight imo
