[No Sound] Preparation: CAD to DXF to ORD For The Waterjet Cutter

After saving in DXF format, the outlines of a part need to be converted into a machine path for the Omax waterjet cutter. The color of the lines is changed from green [traversing only,no cutting] to purple [intermediate cutting quality "3"]. Then, a road map is generated showing what features are cut first and which are cut last (the last has to be the outer shape of the part). Then, an offset is generated by running the jet along either the inside of lines (for holes) or the outside (for part outline). The resulting ORD [Omax Routed Data] file is taken to the machine for cutting.
