I hope they release the first season on bluray with an uncut version of the episodes. I can just imagine the great stuff that got cut. Like the confrontation between Rynera and Alicent about her marrying her dad. Then her having to help get her prepared for the wedding
for that to exist, they'd actually have had to write it... and like 90% of the show, they didn't write shhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!te!
This show's writing is so bad that I get tired 10 minutes in on each episode.
No context o enemies or battles, no info on enemies of battles or random people with random royal backgrounds, no voices of enemies or most people, no actual dialogue that sets plot nor backstory.. just about 5 people, over and over and over.. "I have a duty" "You have a duty" on repeat.
So tired of this show already.
@@ericb6048 there was a wedding scene that was filmed and cut out, so I’d imagine there were plenty of others as well. Sorry you’re not enjoying it my guy. I think it’s just to lay a foundation for who Rhanerya and Alicent become (which is VERY different from who they are currently.) It’ll pick up quite dramatically when the dance of dragons begins for sure.

I kind of like Daemon. The things he wants in life are mutually exclusive so rather than getting one thing he wants, he screws up and gets nothing he wants.

@@nazarhamude8488 because those actors are young asf in real life and look young in the show and when they do a big time skip… you’ll understand why, it would be a mistake to keep them on! Don’t want to spoil anything, but the other actors were cast first and are the main ones. The ones you see now are the secondary ones

The guy getting knocked on the floor was also in episode 3 next to Laenor at the battle planning table before Daemon arrived. He was however in Velaryon marked armour... But presumably Joffrey Longmouth.
You called it. With the captions on, at one point it shows that Joffrey says something during the planning scene before Daemon turns up
I think the reason why Criston Cole switchs sides is because Rhaenyra didn't about his child or is having his child even though this can and will get him kill if the kid comes about to be his.
So all the dragon fighting during the Dance will surely need an exuberant budget, yeah? I wonder just how much that we’ll see in later seasons.

:23 of the Ep 5 trailer you can see that Allicent is in the scene with Criston Cole. So far I like how the show portrays him. I'm curious to see how Criston and Harwen's storyline from the book will playout in the series. 🤔
To Rhaenyra Cole is just a game a destruction she never truly wanted him she wants her uncle and for Cole that is the reason he needs to switch sides
If you watched behind the scenes, it's actually stated that Rhaenyra did have a crush on Cole and he on her. Daemon telling Rhaenyra to take what she wants is further expressed when she goes to seduce Sir Criston despite the consequences
I knew the Maesters hinted at Daemon being behind his first wife's death, but my God! 👀 That's a little messed up. If that's true, then that could only mean he was also behind the death of.....

Laenor Valeryon since it was stated in the books he was jealous that he married Rhaenyra and Daemon knew his death would enable him to marry her which he did, in secret a few months later 😧😳

@Lindy T Yes he loved his wife and unlike Rhae he had no intention to get rid her but after she died giving birth he realized he could have a chance with Rhaenyra, because she also lost her husband and the two is alone now, is not certain that he is responsible for Laenor's death but him dying right after Laene and Rhaenyra's becoming a widower is too much coincidence if you ask, we will see how the showrunners deal with this storyline

Well, I think thats bc they're trying to get to what's really important, which is The Dance of Dragons. Season one is merely a set up to that story. Which is why I don't have a problem with the pacing. If I'm right, I'm pretty sure by next season the pace will even out since they'll have four seasons to fill.
I’m sure they’re moving fast because there’s a LOT to cover during the Dance and everything leading up to it.
It will be slow till episode 5. This is just a prelude. The real story starts after 6. That's when things will speed up.
@@Jacaerys1 I would say HOTD is slow when it comes to building up to the main conflict which is understandable since every great story needs a slow build up or else well...you'll get GOT season 8.

Since Daeron (Viserys' and Alicent's youngest son) is not cast in season 1, and the health of Viserys deteriorating every single episode, I don't think we will see Daeron in this series and he has been cut out completely. It will be a shame as he is one of the more important characters and will be involved in some of the important battles in the dance to follow. Also the probable absence of prince Daeron might also be the absence of the cobalt dragon, Tessarion the blue queen who spits blue flames like Wight Viserion. A truly wonderful looking dragon. Exclusion of Tessarion will also be sad as she was involved in a very important dragon battle in the dance. Let's hope for the best.
I believe Ryan and Miguel made a point to say no characters were being cut. I also remember reading that an inside source said Daeron will be in Oldtown for this season and will be cast next season. I'm can't be 100% sure of that, but chances are he will show up next season.

This episode might be the end of the prelogue of this show just like season 1 of Thrones. As much as I loved them, it was only after Robert Barratheon and Ned Stark died that the real story began in Game of Thrones.

The prince that was promised is Bran Stark. Let me explain. Brynden Rivers is a Targaryen bastard prince, Brynden Rivers was the Three eyed raven which now possessed Bran Stark. All she did for her friend? You mean like seduce her father to bear him children which will contest her claim as queen? I don't think Alicent is evil, she does what she does out of duty to her family. But she definitely knows exactly why her father tells her to do these things.
Criston cole was more of a emotional weirdo in the book, he didnt really support either side. He didnt really even like plot either he would like just do things to start shit it seemed lol, i dont think he even have anyone in his ear he just did alot of it off the top of his head. That type of character would of been really hard for them to kind of add into this i think, because criston cole is the one who actually starts off the war, not otto and not by ottos word either, criston just decided it was a good idea to convince alisant during viserys death, that there son just needid to be king, and he somehow convinced her. They would need to give him motivation for alot of the wild stuff he did, because he kind of hated both sides, he really didnt care and hated both sides if i can recall corectly, but it didnt start off like that. He was more conflicted and emotionally all over in the books, in the show hes much more loyal and grounded so far unless his character is going to just suddenly change in a wild way it doesnt really make sense for him to start just scheming out of nowhere.

@@PerfectDark0 Yes, we are. 😂 She was a mother who loved her children and wanted them safe... nothing wrong with that. Admittedly, she became kind of coldhearted/cruel towards the end, but in comparison, Rhaenyra always was the "evil" one to me.
I think they are SERIOUSLY messing up with changing the 2 actresses because of a time jump. We've already connected with these actresses and changing them could kill viewership afterwards. Why not just use makeup to age them up? They are both baby-faced, even aged up, they wouldn't need much makeup to make it work. They're going to be like totally different people. Why would you get the fan base behind one character(actress) for 5 episodes, then switch them up with new people? I think its going to really show in the viewership of subsequent episodes

I second that sentiment. Daemon, while chaotic, loves his family first and foremost. He doesn't really want the throne. He doesn't even know what he wants most of the time, except to be loved by those he loves. Ie his brother and niece. He's actually very loyal and Viserys would have done much better by listening to his brother. He just lets people make their own assumptions about him and his motivations and neither denies nor admits them. That's his chaotic nature. He couldn't give a crap what anyone outside his close family bubble thinks of him.
Daemon's goal is actually to restore glory back to House Targaryen since they aren't what they once were.
Also, Daemon does care about his family, he just wishes they saw the bigger picture. That's why he always challenges Viserys since he's the only one who'll tell him that he's being taking advantage at court for his kind heart. Being brutally honest to your siblings in order to protect them is a sign of love and proves that he does care.
As for Rhaenyra, it's stated in the books and we see it in the show that Daemon adores her and would always shower her with gifts when he returned from his travels. He even snuck Rhaenyra out into the city since he saw that she's been miserable and he forced her to watch a play about her being heir so she can understand how the commoners view her and what it means to rule. Overall, Daemon does deeply care about his family and wishes the best for them, he just expresses it in a more harsher way.

Never read the books so can someone explain.... what's with all the white hair? I get the Targaryens have it because of the "pure" bloodline, but there are people EVERYWHERE with white hair that aren't related to them. Is it a status thing? Like white powder wigs in the revolutionary war?

Well it is not that definite but from what is known the Iron Throne, an object designed by Aegon the Conqueror, it’s said, to test those who sit upon it. A king must be vigilant, strong and agile; the Iron Throne tests those qualities and punishes those who fail. Allow yourself to be cut by its many blades and perhaps you’re not cut out for the role.

Give me a break these days u can make older person look younger somehow they couldn’t make them look bit older? It’s going to feel awkward trying to get used to new “actors” playing the same roles. I didn't like the way Rhraeynra use cole as a tissue paper after Daemon left her hanging. It looks kind of weird, forced and rushed. What I would have done is make Rhraeynra locked her room cry all night and Cole should stand by the door hear her cry all night. Then Rhraeynra would make her self a promise that she would not to be denied her desire by anyone and she would do anything to achieve what she want. And for Cole he would make promise to himself that he won't let anyone make Rhraeynra cry and do everything to fulfill her wish. Then from there their relation could develop and we could have a meaning full romance scene in next episode.

The show really blows. It's boring as Hell! Each episode gets slower and slower. I don't care for none of the characters. They could kill of everyone and start over and it wouldn't bother me. Maybe they should because as of now the show pointless babble.
