Never had to use it… yet, but we saved over $1000 by getting soft shackles that connect to the lower wishbones via a 3m equalising strap and snatch strap. Clears the front bodywork and also pulls the front slightly up as tension is applied. This is a very strong part of the chassis, and is routinely used in emergency recoveries.

      Thanks Sue
Great info. Appreciate it albeit I am personally not a fan of using anything other than a rated recovery point for a recovery. Then again always open to learning something new. Cheers. Alex

Hi Alex, thanks for your videos. We have a T6 LWB Transporter and want to mount MaxTrax on the side as you have. We have so far only found roof mounts. Where did your mounting brackets come from? Thanks very much

Hi What brand bull bar do you have on the T5?

"get stuck out there"... 😂 Not if my good planning can help it mate. I look forward to a hand winch demo. I'm not sure on just using a hitch pin... You're relying on it not bending and the thinner steel of the hitch wall, rather than if you had a 50mm hitch recovery piece you're then relying on the resistance of the pin to sheer-force as it has no room to bend. Might just be apples and oranges though, particularly for a slow hand winch out I doubt it would matter. Mad Matt 4wd has done a few videos exploring variations.

Great outdoor driving tips, however, I'm driving an SUV now and haven't had a time where your skills are needed. Your car should have a personalized logo to show your personality, this is just a suggestion.
