- Decided to really put this truck to the test and take it up a local trail on bumpus cove in east tennessee. The trail was rocky and very slick due to the snowfall. It proved to me that the ZR2 really has some potential! LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE CONTENT!!

You have a G80 auto locker just like this truck. Really helps when wheelin

You got a factory limited slip “G80” in Chevy world. It’s not a TRUE Locker

Lucky for us the ZR2 comes factory with one, notorious G80 baby, larger 8.5 differental also, 30 spline axles to boot.

What about it, no locker needed, unless it's strictly off road, take my word for this, it has larger and heavier duty axles ect.. like the rear then average s10
@@Smokey-88 i have a 2000 chevy s10 with a 2.2l 4 cylinder and a 5 speed stick that's 2wd. What kind of locker can i put in the rear? My s10 sucks in snow even with 4 snow tires. Please help.

The ZR2 has always been very under rated. I had a 96 and I was the guy everyone called when they got stuck......go figure.
ZR2 models were seriously badass little trucks through the ‘90s - early ‘00s.
S-10's were junk it's a yugo with a cargo bed.......Toyota Tacoma and Ford Rangers were good trucks....GM vehicles are junk
Nah rangers aren't better than a s10. They are basically equals. Tacoma is better though and more pricey.
A couple buddies and I are planning a tent trip last week of May or first week of June for a couple of days in Helen. Just put a winch on The Blazer so we're good there. Sure like to check your mods. EZ trip with some wheelin', lots of good food and fun!!

4.10 lockers help huh!
also GM transfer case in low gear is 5.13 final drive but your diff will not lock as good if you turn at all you have to be going straight. if you get stuck in low gear put it back in 4Hi and you will see the differential lock end and you should be able to back out of where you came ive done it several times!
