I can't describe the excitement you posted on Tuesday ! Every week i push the days until friday comes to watch a new episode of yours. i really wish youtube becomes your full time job so you can always upload 2 times a week without having to worry about your day job
The work shop is looking very nice you have put a lot of work in to get it this way. Thank you for taking us armchair experts along with you. Ants, you will get a better result bending tube if you buy radial former.
Come on now, keep your pants on. This might be one of my favourite channels (by the way, _definitely_ better than that Camarata maniac) and seeing a new video always makes me happy, but let’s have some other stuff going on in our lives, too. Right?
Andris! This is what I love about your videos……you are passionate about your work n a super mom…and keep buying more tools n equipment….love your work…..Don’t stop making videos, hehehehe
Great job converting a supporting column into a Swiss cheese column. OH, OH, now I understand the safety helmet. Always thinking ahead! No flies on you!
Pipe bending springs are the best to use, but for people short on money, you can use river sand and heat the pipe at the point you are bending and you will get quite good results. Nice to see a Tuesday video. Glad you gave us a treat. Happy week to you.
I’ve said it before but watching you this time warrants saying it again. You’re so lucky to still have a super Mom! She raised you right because you do take care when it’s needed, that IS our job. You’re a good man! 👍🏼👍🏼 from this guy✌🏼
Hello Mister Ants Pants. The thing you hold in your hand at 16:51 its a Trackpin from a Dozer or a Tank , in the older days they ar forge in to a chisel. 👌✌✌✌
I've seen some people just lock their metal brakes in their vises when they use them. And when you're not using the brake it stores out of your way! ✌🤠🇺🇸
Wow another Tuesday post….. LOVE IT! You must be ranking in some money now…. Buying all these additional tools and machines! Also, for the record I think JOSEPH would make a better “Babe Magnet”…….😂 So when does the new SHOP BUILD start…… Your not going to have room if you keep adding to your workshop under the house! As always love your “sayings”! Keep up the great work!
Hold my beer! Ants is back! And yeah about that bender. No square tubes will bend. Theres another tool called tube roller and smallest radius on that would be like 500mm for 40x40x2 tube. Still glad to see another vid and nice tools by the way! A round rod that looked like crankshaft was a worn pin for tracks on your tractor you should use another one to support your vise.
on the cut-off shear you can make a sling and attach it to the handle so that you can step in it and use your leg and body weight to push down when cutting thicker material. It will make it easier on your back instead of pushing by hand.
When I see that you have shared a new video I do several things: I pour myself a whisky on the rocks, I make a cigarette, I put the video in maximum quality (with Spanish subtitles) and I sit on the couch to enjoy the new video in good conditions. I don't mind, and even almost prefer, that they are long videos, more than an hour. I enjoy it a lot. What are your new short-term projects? Winter is near, the snow... A cordial greeting!!! Carlos.
Looking to get some work done on a foundations of the mainhouse and maybe get rid of some mud and replace it with gravel. Also in the mean time i'm trying to get dozer waterpump to work and do something on the k700
Combine the sheet bender and cutter into one unit. With bolt on construction of course. One benefit could be, that when you put sheet in the benders slot while cutting it wont flip up. As for the wheel bushings, you have a lathe.😅
That round bar you cut up for suport it is actually a DT75, or DT74 tractor track joining pin, it suppose to be straight and round when new, this one is severally vorn out that's why it looks like that, by the way i love your content as im myself from Lithuania living abroad, everything you do just brings me home, the k700 since i was a toddler loved that monster ooh and that turbo wistle just wow for me, Joseph too.
They are just awesome sounding machines, love it, as for k700 not moving they're hydraulic driven gearboxes, or hydraulic clutches not sure wich, my commonsense would start with hydraulics to get going, there is a russian farmer dude working with that monster as a day job he had a clutch gearbox problem or something, i know you don't read russian but will try find video and tag you in it anyway
Just a tip....When your drill bit gets stuck like that and wants to break your wrists...its best to keep the drill machine slightly angled to almost reem-drill your holes that why the drill bit dont get stuck and make it unsafe
Well after watching all of your videos , I worked out something you cant do , "make a boring video" !!! I keep waiting for one but it never happens 😉😉😃😃. Well done Ants keep em coming , love your work !!!!!!!!!!
Hi Ants. I think you should try bend tubes without sand. I think you will get much better results. The iron rod that you welded to the bender basement looks like worn coupling pin for soviet tractor (DT-75 or any other) track.
I'd suggest taking approximate measurements of the K700 water hoses/pipes and see your local auto/tractor part store if they have anything similar in stock. I'd guess you could possibly find long bent rubber coolant hoses to replace the short hoses and the metal pipe in between. You'd also lose two potential leaking point in the process, going down from 4 clamps per side to just 2.
That pipe bender may be a nasty surprise. I've seen other youtubers getting that same style bender and it seems it's meant for something like heavy gauge water pipes or something that doesn't kink easily. It will most likely squeeze the pipe if you just try it without some tricks, like heating, filling or something else. Tube/tubing bender is a bit different and probably way more expensive... The dies are a lot "longer" and the pipe/tube is clamped at the other end. The bending force is also added in a different way.
And I wanted to share another fabrication tip studs they are able to be welded at any set of centers you need so if feeling sketchy about drilling holes and running into a utility of some sort and you need to hard mount something you could always take some bolts cut the heads off and weld shank of the bolt to the area that you intend to mount something and just slide it down on top of that like it's a stud and then put a nuts on it and be done with it
At the beginning of the vid i wondered, 'How much did he spend to make those parts for the Special K?"...and then you divulged it.😗 Oh my. Never mind, you did the right thing. Carry on!
Oooo new toys and a mid week video, nice. One thing though, the pipe bender is actually designed to be used on it's side flat on the floor not upright like you currently have it. Makes it a lot easier to use.
You might consider getting a mill. You’ve already done some great things with your lathe, and a mill allows you to make almost anything. Just a thought given that you’ve demonstrated some sweet learning skills with anything new. Either way - I’m sure you’ll succeed!!
@@Ants_Pants Yep, a vertical mill is easier to wrap your brain around (not literally, please!) than a horizontal one. The math is technically the same, but I had trouble making things properly on a horizontal. Maybe I’m just stupid - LOLOL!!! You could consider getting an inexpensive one like a SIEG. Then once you get how to use it well, sell it and buy a decent size one. They can mess you up in a hurry if you’re not careful.
I see pedal cats being a good test for the kids... I mean those new tools ;) Id love to see a collab vid with you and diydonn. Especially a joint project. Tho he's a lot more careful on measurements

Woot! Bonus Ants! Thanks. Take care & stay safe.

Get a set of pipe bending springs, that you put inside the pipe to prevent it collapsing. 👍
Good thinkin' dude - do they work?

sand or springs would help the pipe not to kink if you need to bend a pipe and don't have a proper bender - but in this case there is a proper bender
Cool, thanks
That piece of metal looks like a track pin for pinning 2 sections of track together.

You can actually bend square tube BUT you need special tooling that supports the sides so it will not just squish in the bend area!
got it

good idea, the plastic bushing was 2 dollars :D not worth it
Ants, consider making a portable work bench for this new equipment….. giving you the capacity to store els where ! Monster shoutout for Super mum ❤️
For vise reinforcement, maybe weld an old piece of rail under it to brace it against the floor.
Suggest floor mount this vice. In the appropriate location.
soap on the Lag screws will greatly ease their entrance into the wood beams

Add a metal support rod from bottom of vice to The floor
You are a real man when you browse the tool catalogue, to find out what you have that they dont sell..

Now you can fabricate and outdoor wood burner from sheet metal with a water jacket and use that to heat the workshop.

It's a pin from caterpillar links 16:58
oh yeah, now i noticed it

That steel bar is pin from tracks, may be from DT74-75, or same like Joseph.
Good luck!
An uncle of mine always said: The things you can't stop fixing, you really own.
that's true
16:56 this pin is from dt 75 track, thoose pins used to attach tracks together
Great having a bonus video, 👍 Try spraying some lubricant on your rollers and tooling. This will help with your bending.
Nice equipment buddy 👍👍
Just a tip....When your drill bit gets stuck like that and wants to break your wrists...its best to keep the drill machine slightly angled to almost reem-drill your holes that why the drill bit dont get stuck and make it unsafe
It's best to get new drill bits that don't have the flutes worn down to a taper, even I don't keep using them and I'm a cheapskate.
@@metricstormtrooper guess that is much better yes. 👍🏼
This rod you cut down to pieces as support, it was track pin from a tank or dozer :D

It looks like the metal cutter or shear could be used with an extension. That handle looks like it begs for a pipe extension to add more leverage.
That pipe bender may be a nasty surprise. I've seen other youtubers getting that same style bender and it seems it's meant for something like heavy gauge water pipes or something that doesn't kink easily. yeah, filling with sand seems to work, but i have not tried bigger pipes yet
Those crappy mowers do use plastic bushings, but you can get roller bearings (with a lip) which fits the same hole.
the bushing was like 2dollars bro :D and lasted for 6 years
Enjoyed the new tools! Look forward to whatever you make with them.

You need to add a strap to medal cutter to keep it closed , very easy for kids to lose a hand or arm .
Pre heat thick medal before welding.
it has a spring to keep it open
Now you have a wonderful workshop and do everything! Congratulation!
Thank you very much!
That crackshaft looking peace is a worn-out track pin from the tractors DT-75 or DT-74.
