Shaman main here, been testing the beta since it came out. It's interesting how different opinions people can have on the same thing. I see you loving the Totemic, AutomaticJak also love this. After testing I personally hate it in its current form. I went through my logs, where I wanted to maximize surging totem and compared them to Farseer with manually casted healing rains. At least for me Totemic healing rains did similar healing, with a lot more overhealing, much less damage and costed a lot more mana. You mentioned it's ai that tries to be smart about rain placements, it's not, it's incredibly dumm, a lot of the time just spams healing rains on an isolated warlock in the corner. It costs twice the cost of a single rain btw. and I did notice in my runs having less mana as Totemic. To my knowledge it's the only Hero talent tree that actively makes your spell worse. The one saving grace are the free chain heals, but I think those are very problematic for balancing. If you read the resto shaman community feedback, people mostly agree that chain heals are too powerful, our talents playing too much into them and the Totemic tree is making it much worse.
Yeah I actually will agree with you, I think that totem needs way more work, but the chain heals are fat, and healing stream totem cranks, I can only imagine how big cloudburst is too!
@@LBNinja7 well actually as is you will never play cloudburst with Totemic. Healing stream is way better because a) longer CBT just makes you put a little bit more healing into it, while HST ramps with every tick it does, b) Reactivity just flatly boosts HST more than CBT and c) HST has much lower cooldown, so that means a lot more free extremely powerful chain heals. Also, the chain heal that fires when you spawn CBT does not contribute to CBT healing btw. I was raid testing last week and we had Farseer and Totemic both in raid, the Totemic did 300+k more healing than Farseer. 20+% of his healing was HST. It is ridiculous and very bad for the spec. I don't know why people would find enjoyable when a completely fire and forget totem spam contributes more than 20% of their throughput, maybe 30% if you count the chain heals it fires.

I appreciate you testing the different healers in beta. I'll likely main MW, but I usually have a second healer as my main alt. Hearing you describe the different hero specs as you play them is helping me understand the other options a lot better
Yea i like seeing you showcase other healers with their hero talents. I personally mainly heal as mw monk atm but also interested in other classes like priest and shammy in tww. So it's nice to see how other healers work when you showcase them
Yes, Im also the MW monk as is the easiest healer to understand for someone that was a dps for most of his wow life lmao. Dipping my toes at disc priest this last season and for next season and id be really interested to play resto druid if its streamlined enough hahahahaha

@@luizfbrc same, that's one of the main reason i play mw monk😂 my main is havoc dh and i started mw not long ago which is on March.
What the totem needs is a way to reposition it, so our human element can correct the RNG of the AI. I feel like this could easily be achieved by using the same type of code that is used on Windwalker's "Storm Earth and Fire". You can just press the same button again and force them to focus on the same target.
Yeah that would be really nice! Or just make it follow you like make you the moving healing rain

Hey man, great content! Would love to see your take on the Holy Pala Lightsmith. The sudo-Augmentation playstyle looks fun but I'm not sure how effective it will actually be.

Looks good, but not bringing back Vesper Totem was a huge miss imo. Don’t know why Blizz chose to keep the lamest covenant ability they had.

Everyone, including people at full health should jump in the spirit link totem not just the injured. The full health people will help save the low health people

I'm hyped for so many healer hero talents. I'll probably go for archon holy priest, but shaman, monk, druid, and even holy palas seem awesome in TWW!
It would be cool if healing rain was like a storm cloud that would follow who you place it on and AoE heal everyone in a circle
That would be sick! And they have the coding for that to be possible because that's how halo works now, and things like refreshing jade wind already exist!
Shammy does look fun again. I've not mained one since TBC and I might have one as my main alt. I've had too much fun with levelling Mistweaver to not main that.
As a rshaman main, I was triggered that you did not have earth shields up the whole time as it does good amount of healing :p ty for testing though
Oh no!! You know, the funny thing is that I even remembered to cast it before the key started, but watching the raw footage back what happened was that I didn't have my normal macro working in the beta! So I pressed the button to apply it but it didn't work lol!
Primordial wave wasn't even that fun in Shadowlands. Both the Kyrian(DPS/Heal Totem) and Venthyr(Strong chain heal that applies riptide) ones were more fun.
Chain harvest was so sick in raids! I also did a bit of pushing with vesper totem and it was the most fun I've had healing ever...
I main a resto shaman, and I'm excited for Totemic. Farseer however.....not so much.
I've heard extremely mixed opinions on farseer, but haven't really given it a second glance!
I love both rsham hero specs tbh I want for shaman itself to be changed a bit. Feels lacking sometimes

No you're 100% right. I don't play shaman too often and when swapping between 7 healers WHILE trying to learn new mechanics, im bound to make dumb mistakes and forget some basics.
Hopefully it just shows that totemic shaman has EVEN MORE potential than I showed!

I only got weakauras and details! The rest is default frames with a butt load of macros that were made with love lol
How do you get details on the beta? I tried downloading it through curseforge and it breaks my game 😅 thanks for another great video by the way, I made my first monk healer two weeks ago and I’m already timing 10s at 510 iLvl cuz of your videos!
In curseforge, click on details and go under version and revert It to one of the 11.0 versions. Or if you can't get that working, shoot me a message on disc and I can send you the files! Christo9760

Pretty average to be honest. at least it's still far superior to elemental, which is currently horrible in either of the two hero talents....
Hero talens to me is good need so work my problem is the tree of the rest shaman need a re-work we got 22 point notes in the tree

Not exact but totemic I’m sure is far better in raid. Hopefully they surprise us with a rework for shaman 😂
I tried it in raid and was a bit disappointed, bit I was still on healing stream which is worse in raid!
I think Farseer has more potential.

Yeah a lot of the other healers have some mechanics that draw them to melee range, but paladin and monk are the only that are actual melee!
