To be fair, there have been a lot of trans people who have been telling Keffals off for a while now, such as Jessie Gender, Gretchen Felker Martin, Caelan Conrad, and just their whole circle as well, and they’ve gotten the exact same shit as Muta. I have figured out, after trying to understand this for awhile, that my life experience makes this way of phrasing a fear of men/strangers when you are alone and vulnerable, plain nonsensical. Most people talking about this are from the lower 48, mostly from cities, and mostly don't hike. The only thing I have in common is sadly, sa.
Non black bears can be terrifying. Truly the stuff of nightmares. If you are unlucky they can give you one of the worst, most painful deaths imaginable. This is to the extent it reminds me of some like Victorian propaganda that a good woman would take her fate in her own hands before allowing a man to sully her. Hard core purity culture like that feels insane after surviving sa. People fairly deep in any remote location also seem to be less likely to be predatory or are unlikely to be actively hunting. Crowds of people are better hunting grounds than deep in the bush. I am far more skittish of people in a city or church than out on a trail. Plus the woods are probably the deadliest element in this scenario. It's easy to get disoriented and succumb to the elements, even fairly close to a city. If a person is lost their best bet is a human, any human.
I get what people are trying to express but I still find this method a bit odd and off-putting. Especially the shaming of people who pick man over bear.

A man will die from a gunshot. A bear will typically get pissed off and still possibly come at you. If you don't have a gun, you'd have a better chance fighting off a man. There's one type of bear you can scare off. A lot more you have to play dead, and they might still maul you regardless. There is no good reason to choose a bear.

As a lady, I said the bear....bears are more predictible. No hate for men, but even if it was a woman, I would pick a bear as humans would do crazy crap. So, I've been doing some thinking, and I believe I figured out why Keffals hasn't closed her GoFundMe. Purely speculation, but I believe, so long as it's still 'Ongoing' and not 'Complete/Finished', then she won't be culpable. Essentially, if it's open, there is still a chance that she can put the money towards the active goals and fulfill her agreement, but once it's closed, if she has no evidence of using the now depleted funds for inappropriate expenses, she will be guilty of fraud and entirely responsible. And I come to this conclusion after learning she's sitting on a Chris-Chan interview behind a $100,000 paywall, which I'd suspect she intends to shift into the GoFundMe to cover her ass.
