Edmonton had the Uniform color scheme before the Packers ;) CFL is much older than the NFL.
And they got it from U Alberta as far as I know, straight up their original uniforms were at least partly just old stuff UA gave them lol
Nathan Rourke is a legit baller!!! We loved him up here with the BC Lions 🦁! He is a Canadian from Victoria, BC. Just a stand up person and such a competitor.
Isn’t he from Oakville, Ontario?
@@blair55075 He was Born in Victoria but grew up in Oakville.
Football is older in Canada than in the U.S. The Hamilton Tigers (now Tiger Cats after a merger) were formed in 1869 using the black and gold that most people associate with the Steelers (1920). Both Hamilton and Pittsburgh are steel towns. The Toronto Argonauts were formed in 1873 and are the oldest pro team in North America still in the same city with the same name. Edmonton adopted the green and gold before Green Bay.
Everyone who's a pro quarterback can make throws but Nathan Rourke has exceptional Feetwork coupled with excellent decision making. He's legit as f
I am a BC Lions fan from Canada and man Nathan Rourke was a talent no one has ever seen. I got the opportunity to watch him play live and it was sure a treat to see such a talented QB. He was on pace to destroy all time records before his injury mid season. As I Lions fan it is sad to not have him back for another year but I hope to see him excel in the NFL. And a side note, we already lost Rourke to the NFL, so I think we will keep our star studded Receiving core.😂
I watched him at ohio university and he was one of if not the best qb ive seen in person and his little brother plays there now and might even be better 😂
Don’t sleep on the CFL!
These highlights were from his 2nd season. He was a backup the year before.
He was on pace to win MVP of the league but had a season ending injury. He’s still young which is why he’s making the jump to NFL. Canada was sad to see him go because in the CFL it’s VERY rare to have an actual Canadian start at QB. Most of the guys are American and have some NFL experience.
Actual it wasn't a season ending injury as he camback for the final game of the season and for the playoffs.
Rourke is a hell of a QB, but man did he have some crazy good receivers in BC too
Oh yeah! Lucky Whitehead for #1
we were so lucky to have him here! and yes Lucky's been up in Canada for a while now, hes played with Winnipeg and BC
I’m a die hard lions fan. You right about Rhymes he is a freak. Keon Hatcher is hella nice too.
I’m a CFL fan- Go Bombers. Rourke was special.
KEY: He barely played in his first season and broke records in his sophomore while being injured for 3 games
A lot more than 3 games. He missed the whole back half of the season
Rhymes is also a DAWG
CFL rules require only 7 Canadian starters.
Rourke played three seasons with OHIO and brought them to three consecutive championships. 🏆 His Brother Kurtis now plays for OHIO and is just as good. 👍
Love the CFL coverage
Poor guy. He was great in BC. Now riding the pine in Jacksonville.
I'm late to the party, but it was Rourke's 2nd year in the CFL, he was a backup the year prior (to Mike Reilly, one of the best QBs in CFL history)
I Hope he will be the back up to Trevor and I can’t wait to see him in the next Jags preseason game in Detroit.
So Nathan was drafted By The Bc lions in 2020 but the league missed the 2020 season so he went back to Ohio then Declared for the 2021 draft went undrafted in the nfl had a tryout with the Giants as a Wr did not sign then went to sign With the team that drafted him Bc and after 2 years he did this
Future Giants legend?… please😭💀
dude is an absolute baller for sure but i just can’t help but think a lot of these would be picked off in the NFL
classic american
Watching these to see what the Patriots just picked up he looks legit. Hopefully he gets us some type of a chance.
1:20 that was john metchies brother who got burned
2 years in cfl
Hoping he somehow winds up with my NY Jets. How do you think he would do with New York pressure/ in the big apple limelight?
Patriots have Rourke now
You should react to zach collaros, he's won 2 of the last 3 cfl mvps
WRs need contracts ! Sign the whole team . Coaches , players, water boys, trainers!
I have absolutely ZERO idea why WRs Bryan Burnham or Geroy Simon before him never ended up in the NFL. Both have since retired. Rhymes is almost as good as they were. There is SO MUCH talent in the CFL, it's crazy. Rourke will be starter in the NFL for sure one day. No question. Easy money.
Once a Bobcat, now a Jaguar, but FOREVER a Lion.
He is not trash and can start a game with an NFL team. That being said I do not see anything special about Rourke that would make him an entrenched and un-replaceable franchise QB in the mold of an Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allan or Patrick Mahomes.
Looks like the falcons have another steal.
for throwing - the canadian ball is fatter and rounder - and much more difficult to throw
Actually no, it use to be, but there is only a slight difference between them now.
@@clyde38 learned something new - I guess I missed when they changed it in 2018
The old ball really sucked given the size of field and 3 downs
Welcome to the giants
I was wondering why this video started getting views out of nowhere. I hope he gets a shot, he has talent
You should watch winnipeg blue bombers highlights
No. They suck
plays with a nice rythm , great footwork, sees the field and good accuracy . only negatives are lack of height and average arm strength but i see the potential . he is born to play the position and i think he is an nfl caliber backup now with Future starter potential
Jags' talent assessment is seriously flawed. Rourke was SO much better than Beathard. Not even close. Too bad y'all played roster roulette and lost.
Most of the CFL is American.
Some, not all.
Hope he doesn't get a splinter holding a clip board.
