When you slow it down and study it, it is actually pretty understandable, at least the Singles chart. I've never been all that good at Doubles and rarely played it, so I can't comment on that.
if you're looking purely at the structural use of streams and ignoring patterning maybe but that other dude who mentioned stepmania charts circa 2005 is right, some of the patterns in this legitimately look like a shitty spread chart you would have downloaded off bemanistyle

This, alongside Holic, 華爛漫 -Flowers-, BE LOVIN, and Übertreffen have their Challenge charts released just today... I think they just wanted to put more harder charts that can be picked on the "CLASSIC" category in future BEMANI Pro League tournaments, so they have this as Extra Savior unlockables.
I beg to differ. DDR X had a lot of nonsense charts, but they weren't straight up a parade of patterns that are impossibly jarring to perform, without structure or reasoning. This looks more like something created by someone who only ever saw an 18 on video but never actually played one.
