"you can tell this is written by a woman when all these men are talking to one another" LMAOOOO i choked on my chocolate vanilla swirl with cookie crunch pLEASE
*Whitney talking about self check-out at libraries* *Me, living in a smol town in north Italy*: What the heck are you even talking about, is this 3020?
I'M SORRY BUT THE BROMANCE BOOK CLUB SOUNDS ICONIQUE??? also thank u for the cat content "sarah j mass blurbed this? that means nothing to me but probably means something to someone else" I CANNOT BREATHE P L E A S E
The last person I saw who didn't like serpent and dove was Jesse from bowties and books, they explain in a video about the racist parts and other problematic things they found in the book.. I havnt personally read it so it's just in case you want to check it out ^^
"I wish Neal Schusterman just didn't include the romance in this book." says everyone who read it ever😂😂 not a well done romance at allllll they have ZERO chemistry so you just have to ignore it and enjoy the world
Glad to hear that about The Bromance Book Club! Placed a hold for it two weeks ago and I can't wait to read it...8 weeks from now😂😂 Also I love that jacket you wore to breakfast. Where did you get it?
Was i watching all of Whitney's vlogs for the past three weeks instead of reading? Yes Do i regret it? No We stan a Queen 👑 Lots of love from Poland ❤️
I swear, you and booksandlala are the QUEENS of reading vlogs. I always stop what I'm doing to watch them. And also, the sequel to Serpent & Dove (Blood & Honey) will be released in August 2020.
I totally agree with you on Scythe! And it's even more validating since I am someone who doesnt super love romance and was like, "this romance is unnecessary" .. hearing you agree 🖤
I have The Nightengale and The Shadow of The Wind both on my physical TBR, thanks to your advice i am going to pick up The Nightengale on audiobook before reading The Shadow of The Wind
Lol, this was very interesting to watch considering I am near the end of Serpent and Dove and I am not feeling it at all. I think I was just looking for more of a plot, not just a romance? And also, despite the snarky one-liners, I didn't feel like the characters felt very real? He's a witch hunter captain but what does he even do all day???? But I don't usually like pure romance so I had a feeling this wouldn't be a book for me, I was just sucked in by the pretty cover and the fomo :P I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
I have never seen a public library that has self-service in Scotland. (and their selection for new releases isn't amazing)- but that's Scottish libraries for you! (I do requests on occasion, but you have to talk to someone to do it, and you're only allowed to request a few books per person). I am jealous of your library! It sounds amazing
Okay maybe I'm wrong and everyone can view it differently of course but the fatphobic bits to me isn't the author itself saying being fat is wrong but how shallow and gross this world is to anyone that starts to fit in what was part of the "mortal world". Like when Rowan mentions he was depressed and they changed that immediately, no talk, not therapy just "fixed" it by using technology instead of fixing the problem (why he was depressed in the first place and tackling that) like anything that they don't see as perfect and fitting because they can "fix" they change.
I heard that romance is better in thunderhead!!✨AH I loved the ending!!!✨I’m glad you liked scythe!!✨he has no game 😂😂😂✨ idk how you can put on makeup so early in the morning, Im so lazy for that😅✨omg i need to pick it up, AH✨
Interesting thoughts on Scythe will pick up on those next time I reread it, and yeah I agree that the romance could have been nonexistent! Also, yes all your feels while reading Serpent and Dove came back full force for me! 😄 Gordo is like mom no worries I'll hold the book open for you! 😆💕
It’s only one of the Scythes in the book was a total dick and wanted the perfect people in his world. The romance aspect was totally forbidden which is why they don’t go in to it. I didn’t find it predictable at all and I have to say I gave it 5⭐️
You should read the bone houses! In the middle of reading it now and cant seem to stop. It has zombies in it but not in the way I was thinking. Its more like fae magic gone wrong mixed in with welsh folklore. Also about to read the beautiful! Happy reading :)
I was eating tacos when you quoted Kiera Cass and I almost choked and then the electricity went off in my house and scared the absolute crap out of me 😂😂
So, I have a question for you- What fantasy book(s) would you recommend for a person that would like to step out of the contemporary ya world? Their 1st fantasy book ever......
The Beautiful is sooo boring and to say it is a book about vampires is misleading. But Serpent and the Dove is 5 star from me as well. I am glad you like it!
Omg I really want to read these books. Vampire books are and always will be my weakness... omg have you read the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands? Its my ALL time favorite series.
I LOVED SERPENT AND DOVE! But I get what you mean. I enjoyed the romance and the smut so much more than the actual plot, which makes me hesitant of the sequel cus it will feel sooooo plot heavy and not as much romance.
I don't know if it'll be the same for you, but I was also having the same feelings about the Nightingale around the half point but the ending absolutely ruined me. Still not up there with Shadow of the Wind though :)
There's a guy in my IRL book club and we're reading a romance and our meeting is in 2 weeks so will report back on a guy's thoughts when he reads romance for book club LOLOL.
every time i see someone get a drink in a plastic cup i die a little, please consider getting something reusable! but anyway loved this vlog, looking forward to your opinions on the vampire book
Oh trust me, neal shusterman carries the fatphobia in book two where he delightfully spends ONE PAGE telling us about how a scythe rudefully comments on the size of another and how he then lost weight because of it.. like seriously? But anyway Thunderhead really sucked and was bizzare.. NOT IN A GOOD WAY😂😂
Julie Englefaris mostly I didn’t find the setting to be really well constructed. It could’ve been anywhere in the world and would’ve worked. I didn’t really believe the relationship and felt it was kind of insta-love. Some things just didn’t seem plausible or realistic to me and it brought me out of the story a lot. Too many “convenient” twists or convenient ways to solve a problem. It was French inspired but the French just seemed randomly thrown in to be able to say that. I did enjoy reading parts of it, but I just don’t see why everyone is obsessed with it I guess. For me it was just okay.
Okay I haven’t read Cythe so idk what the society in that world is like but I feel like since they can “fix” or “cure” fatness people would think “the aren’t doing it cuz they’re lazy and don’t want to put in the money and effort”...with that said I’m imagining it being a common thing for people to do and not some expensive process to go through. Not saying it’s justified but I feel like that could be the case🤷♀️
I was about JUST about to yeet out of this video and grab Serpent and Dove because of your description of it because it sounds really interesting and I'm always in for some good enemies to lovers ...but THEN you said "if you liked delilah bard, you'll like this character"...........that's probably the worse thing i could imagine because i hated delilah bard with every single cell in my body that i had to dnf a conjuring of light lol. But I'm still gonna give this book a chance. We'll see
i'm gonna sound pedantic af and i apologise BUT shadow of the wind isn't set in/post ww2, its around spanish civil war time (a bit before ww2); spain didn't participate in either world wars cus had our own shit to deal with!!!
I devoured serpent and dove. Please please PLEASE read the red winter trilogy by Anette Marie SO SO SO GOOD and underrated. Also just started Shardless by Stephanie Fisher and I've been hooked since page 1. Very Sarah j maas like but not at the same time.
"as Kiera Cass once said, The Selection" lmfao TOOK ME OUT 🤣🤣 so profound
I was eating while watching the vlog and when she said that it took everything in my power to not choke and die omg
"This book is like what Nicholas Sparks' books would be like, if Nicholas Sparks was actually good at writing" 😂 TEA
love it
Brooke G I choked on my mashed potato 😂
I came to the comments section to see if anyone quoted that. Like it's almost too real
i still can't get over whitney reading vlogs returning 😭😭 blessdt
“That means nothing to me but probably something to someone else” 😂😂😂😂😂
"you can tell this is written by a woman when all these men are talking to one another" LMAOOOO i choked on my chocolate vanilla swirl with cookie crunch pLEASE
throneofpages LMAOOOO
When Gordo put his paw on your book, I could almost hear your voice saying "Sir?" lmao
*Whitney talking about self check-out at libraries*
*Me, living in a smol town in north Italy*: What the heck are you even talking about, is this 3020?
I cannot express to you how much I love your weekly vlogs. You are my QUEEN.
vlogs like these just remind me how different our tastes can be and i love it
I'm so glad you read Serpent and Dove! I loved that book and I so can't wait for the next one!
I was about to start reading because there's a bunch of new releases today but that can wait. Whitney's vlogs are priority.
I’m so happy at how frequently you’ve been uploading 😭❤️❤️
"Good morning from the whittynoodle household" XD that gave me a chuckle.
I'm dying over that brown sweater with stripes on it! Your fashion sense is just so good.
I get sooo excited about your reading vlogs!!!! These make me feel like we are actually friends 😂😂
She’s just a whole mood! You could quote everything she says!
right when i saw serpent and dove i clicked immediately! im in the middle of serpent and dove right now and the nightingale is one of my faves
I'M SORRY BUT THE BROMANCE BOOK CLUB SOUNDS ICONIQUE??? also thank u for the cat content
"sarah j mass blurbed this? that means nothing to me but probably means something to someone else" I CANNOT BREATHE P L E A S E
Libraries with self checkout?? That sounds amazing! None of the libraries in my area have that, everything is through the front desk.
I STILL NEED TO READ SCYTHE! I just picked up thunderhead too so that’s exciting
The last person I saw who didn't like serpent and dove was Jesse from bowties and books, they explain in a video about the racist parts and other problematic things they found in the book.. I havnt personally read it so it's just in case you want to check it out ^^

I'm reading Serpent & Dove right now and I'M LIVING FOR IT. I'm at page 400 something and oooooh my goooood. Also, u r hilarious
These consistant vlogs are really making me happy, i love seeing your beautiful face
14:00 Same! I always need to start a new book before going to bed or else I'd spend the entire day of the next one deciding on what to read lol
gotta get a head start, always
Oh! Bromance book club sounds so good! And heh... Serpent and Dove was a three star for me - there was definitely a lull ....
Glad to hear that about The Bromance Book Club! Placed a hold for it two weeks ago and I can't wait to read it...8 weeks from now😂😂
Also I love that jacket you wore to breakfast. Where did you get it?
Was i watching all of Whitney's vlogs for the past three weeks instead of reading? Yes
Do i regret it? No
We stan a Queen 👑
Lots of love from Poland ❤️
The excitement i get when you post is unbelievable 😂
At 20:14 my library (in my country) most of stuff english I don’t quit want to read but also zero books form my TBR
I struggled so much trying to get through Scythe, but I loved the second book.
I swear, you and booksandlala are the QUEENS of reading vlogs. I always stop what I'm doing to watch them.
And also, the sequel to Serpent & Dove (Blood & Honey) will be released in August 2020.
Just discovered your channel and girl I love your editing! You made the vlog so nice and fast passed!
Kierra Cass “The Selection” I DIED!!!
Bold of you to take a library book to the bathtubs 😅😅😅
I totally agree with you on Scythe! And it's even more validating since I am someone who doesnt super love romance and was like, "this romance is unnecessary" .. hearing you agree 🖤
Your rants about your library crack me up 🤣😂
I have The Nightengale and The Shadow of The Wind both on my physical TBR, thanks to your advice i am going to pick up The Nightengale on audiobook before reading The Shadow of The Wind
AHHH!!!! You listening to princess Nokia just made my whole year
ok but can we talk about that leather jacket look?? cause it slaps
I LIKE YOUR VIDEOS BEFORE WATCHINF THEM EVEN WITHOUT KNOWING WHETHER YOU’RE ABOUT TO DRAG MY FAV BOOK OR NOT
Hearing so much about Serpent and Dove, from crap to great, would intrigue me enough to get it from my library.... But...
Your cat trying to eat the cookie-what a mood 😂😂
THE BEAUTIFUL IS PERFECTION AGH
I just got home from work and saw that you uploaded a new vlog, it can't get any better than that.
Lol, this was very interesting to watch considering I am near the end of Serpent and Dove and I am not feeling it at all. I think I was just looking for more of a plot, not just a romance? When reading The Nightingale I enjoyed the story but ending destroyed me! It was amazing because the ending is so powerful.
I heard that romance is better in thunderhead!!✨AH I loved the ending!!!✨I’m glad you liked scythe!!✨he has no game 😂😂😂✨ idk how you can put on makeup so early in the morning, Im so lazy for that😅✨omg i need to pick it up, AH✨

i picked up serpent & dove because of this vlog and i really loved it! sooooo entertaining 10/10 romance *french kiss*
I feel like the top five comments quoting funny parts from this video sums up how great it was
I really have to add serpent and dove to my list. Sounds soo good,
I absolutely adored Scythe and the ending was phenomenal
It’s only one of the Scythes in the book was a total dick and wanted the perfect people in his world. The romance aspect was totally forbidden which is why they don’t go in to it. I didn’t find it predictable at all and I have to say I gave it 5⭐️
Thunderhead is meant to be even better and The Toll takes it even further
Stop being so pretty ugh
What the hell, how have I never seen you before, you’re amazing, loving everything about you so far 😃😃🤩🤩
The audiobook for The Nightingale was so good

Daylight Savings is also ruining me 😩😂 I’ve been so TIRED
New vlog!! 🌻💛🤠
I love these long ass vlogs.
You should read the bone houses! In the middle of reading it now and cant seem to stop. It has zombies in it but not in the way I was thinking. Its more like fae magic gone wrong mixed in with welsh folklore. Also about to read the beautiful! Happy reading :)
The Bone Houses was nothing like I thought it was going to be but everything I wanted. Loved that book. So original.
Can't wait to see your review on The Beautiful. I dnf'd it 6 chapters in
I was eating tacos when you quoted Kiera Cass and I almost choked and then the electricity went off in my house and scared the absolute crap out of me 😂😂
25:06 from now on, I will only accept the names Shmordo and Shmosey as correct.
they'll probably reply to it haha
@@WhittyNovels "Shmordo! Shmosey! Dinner!"
*MEOW*
So, I have a question for you- What fantasy book(s) would you recommend for a person that would like to step out of the contemporary ya world? Their 1st fantasy book ever......
I know this is super old but did you ever get into fantasy?
I can’t vlog in my car cos my camera is too chonky. Pls, embrace the car vlog, I’ll live vicariously through you. 🤙🏻
You make the best reading vlogs ❤️
The Beautiful is sooo boring and to say it is a book about vampires is misleading. But Serpent and the Dove is 5 star from me as well. I am glad you like it!
Okay okay when I click the link for your amazon wishlist, it goes to mine?? I’m confused 😂
I’m loving your reading vlog series???
Edit: also being fat isn’t a disease so it can’t be “cured” anyway
SCYTHE YES
Great Video Whitney!!!!
Ohhhh you are so pleasant to watch 🤣 I wish we were friends. Can’t wait to see what you think about The Beautiful.
Omg I really want to read these books. Vampire books are and always will be my weakness... omg have you read the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands? Its my ALL time favorite series.
That comment about size really put me off reading Scythe. Is it any worth it for any other reasons?
I LOVED SERPENT AND DOVE! But I get what you mean. I enjoyed the romance and the smut so much more than the actual plot, which makes me hesitant of the sequel cus it will feel sooooo plot heavy and not as much romance.
lol watching tik tok instead of reading - i laughed so hard
i just finished scythe and discussed it as well. i really enjoyed it.
I don't know if it'll be the same for you, but I was also having the same feelings about the Nightingale around the half point but the ending absolutely ruined me. Still not up there with Shadow of the Wind though :)
WHITNEY YOU HAVE TO READ "DEAR MRS BIRD" PLSSS ITS AMAZING

Ok Neal Shusterman, show me the forbidden platonic relationships 👀
I loved the Nightingale
Well now I have to go get The Serpent and the Dove. -sigh- haha. Such a hardship.
5:28 Whitney is perfection😁
Oh trust me, neal shusterman carries the fatphobia in book two where he delightfully spends ONE PAGE telling us about how a scythe rudefully comments on the size of another and how he then lost weight because of it.. like seriously?
But anyway Thunderhead really sucked and was bizzare.. NOT IN A GOOD WAY😂😂
No girl I have the worse library 📚 the books are probably 20 years old . So sad
I feel like I read a different book than everyone else did because I really didn’t enjoy Serpent & Dove.
Interesting! What didn't you like about it? I enjoyed it but afterwards I realized that it wasn't that memorable
Julie Englefaris mostly I didn’t find the setting to be really well constructed. It could’ve been anywhere in the world and would’ve worked. I want a Gordo! 😭❤️
I trust your superior enemies to lovers taste so I'm ordering Serpent and Dove ASAP :)
"I need to get off Tik Tok" Relatable
I was about JUST about to yeet out of this video and grab Serpent and Dove because of your description of it because it sounds really interesting and I'm always in for some good enemies to lovers ...but THEN you said "if you liked delilah bard, you'll like this character"...........that's probably the worse thing i could imagine because i hated delilah bard with every single cell in my body that i had to dnf a conjuring of light lol.
