Excellent lesson thanks!
Thanks for the video, mate! This has helped me a lot since I have been digitizing some of my vinyl collection, and splitting the whole file into individual tracks is time-consuming especially live albums where there is no silence like studio albums.
Glad it helped!
This is so well explaned, thank you very much
Most welcome :)
Wow Awesome.Thanks
You are a big help! Thanks it was driving me crazy and you explained it so well. Thank you for helping others.
this is awesome no guess method for any software. thx
Genial! Gracias
You're welcome 😊
Thanks man
Does removing the splt lines effect the audio???
hello. when I import a file to be split, when I first try to play it, it plays way too fast. there's no breaks, so I can't split it. I've tried this on multiple files and the same thing. I can't get a file to play at a regular speed. what am I doing wrong here..very frustrating I need help! also, I used Nero for years with no problems when coping vinyl or whatever and had no problems but when updating I lost that version and can't stand the new version of NCH.so thats why I'm trying Audacity...gotta figure this out..thanks
THANKS so much for the Z trick, it will help so much because i was activately deleting parts of the clips to get the perfect cut and stop the clicking sound.
also, i have a audio that has multiple clips and i have to cut them to make them single clip, is there a auto cut for clips with silence as spacing?
Hey, glad it helped 😄
I'm afraid not on the 'auto cut' - I don't know of a quick or easy way to do that, just the good old fashioned manual way!
If your audio file has, say, 100 sound fx in it, do you know whether Audacity can auto detect each sound and split them individually? I've tried using Label Sounds, but can't get Audacity to properly locate the beginning and end of each sound, even when there is complete silence between each clip. Cheers
I want to use this for splitting an audio book that is one continuous track. I want to divide it into chapters. Any tips?
Good question - do you want to just mark chapters in one single audio file, or do you want to split it up into multiple audio files, one per chapter?
@@the_podcasthost I came here to see if this is for the same as @my little reborn love asked. I want to divide an audio book in chapters but all in the same audio so I can skip from one chapter to another without closing the audio file to open another chapter.
I mistakenly recorded two separate audio and saved it as one file. Can separate it and get my two audio?
Is there a way to separate the two tracks in the middle (one above the other) horozontically? I accidentally merged to completely two separate files into one resulting in two separate conversations on top of each other.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean - but sounds like you're asking how to revert it, when you've accidentally merged two tracks into one, so they're playing simultaneously?
If so, there's no way to revert that, I'm afraid. Do you have the original recordings that you can start a new session with?
