what... no... huh... WHAT!!! NOOO! I've had Audacity installed (on every computer I've owned over the past several years, used it a lot but as a "casual user"... but many years ago I recorded a couple of training seminars at work with plans on splitting them up in to manageable tracks and did... VERY TEDIOUS AND TIME CONSUMING. After a few I said "no more" too much trouble. BIGGEST FACE PALM I'VE I'VE EVERY KNOCKED MYSELF OUT WITH!!!!! YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING... YOU MADE THIS SO FU---REAKING EASY!!!!!! Rushing to the closet... where's that old 1 gigabyte hard drive, man I hope it'll still spin up and read!!!! OH! and you got my subscription too by the way, NO, THANK YOU!!!
Thanks! I'm doing a machine learning training and I needed to split a long audio unto 1 sec chuncks and you just saved me a couple hours worth of time!!!
Thank you for expertise in this area. My church want me to take DVD and bring Audio to mp3 and make the 1 hours long so we can play them on the conference call line. The only problem I currently have is I have lost the volume from importing from DVD to mp3 in audacity. but now I am able to split the dvd's in to 1 hours segments. thank you very much, May God bless your life richly.
Thanks! This was so helpful (Heck- didn't even get all the way through it- 3:50, and I was good to go). You saved me a bunch of time, and made my process more effective. I had to break multiple hours of audio into 4 minute segments to transcribe them, and use them....
dude thanks I didn't know about this man, just a basic quick thing too, you helped me with something big and stupid and I will love and respect you forever
Interesting, what I want to know if it's possible to split an wave audio file into individual channels and that so for instance, you got the drums pattern, vocals, baseline and lead synths, is there a possibility for that?
If we were to use the regular interval method, is there a way to make sure that the cuts don't happen in the middle of a word being spoken? What I mean is, does it automatically look for pauses in the sound or does it just cut based on time?
I'm also wondering this... There's a program that splits audiobooks into its individual phrases, and it does it perfectly... but you can't export those. I want something like this except I want to be able to say "Make each file a minimum length of 2 seconds and a maximum of 8 seconds..." and it just chooses what makes the most sense based on the silences, but then I want to export those.

Regular Interval Labels- exactly what i was looking for!
Me too!
Thank you so much direct to the point! I'm making an AI and needed sample audios and other tutorials are so confusing!

Thanks! Worked perfect for separating a file of incrementing notes evenly.
Thank you so much. Saved so much time with the regular interval function.
Thanks for the tutorial! Very quick and helpful
Excellent tutorial. Followed your instructions and it split my file well. Thank you.
Thank you! I am playing with AI audio cleaners and they want max 30 minute files (for free version) so this is perfect for trimming down my podcasts.
thanks for this, exactly the simple trick I needed!
You can also go Edit -> Labels -> Edit labels if you already know the timestamps.
Thanks, this helps a lot for exporting a large read to train AI text to speech models on!
What a goldmine of a video! Thank you so much!
Thank you! You solved a problem for me very clearly 🙂
big thanks, couldn't figure out how to do this for a project
Thanks a lot, This is perfect! Exactly what i needed
Thank you for this! You just saved me a ton of time.
Just what I needed
Thank you! I saved a lot of time!

thank you, its very helpful.
Regular Interval Labels wont enable even after clicking the enable button in plugins
Very helpful, thanks!
Thanks for that. Just what I wanted. Brillliant.
thank you so much you saved my day
Use to split my long audio books into sections. Any way to have each label contain 30 seconds, of the last part, of the previous label?
Excellent! Thank you.
Really helpful, thanks!
Excellent tutorial, thank you

How would you do a 30 hour into 5 hour intervals?
best way to do it, thank you brother
amazing. super easy and works really well
Anyway to auto adjust the label end points so they end at zero cross points? I.e. no clipping
