- This is a compilation~showcase~thingy of all my gold splits while grinding for the sub 18 minutes P5 speedrun. Gold split means it's the fastest fight I've ever had, so this is basically a run made of all my best fights, which sums to 16:10 LOADLESS, not real time.

The quality of the fights changes sometimes cause some clips were taken from my stream and some from offline attempts, which have different video quality settings.

A lot of people are commenting about improving my time/changing health and soul amounts between bosses, so I guess I should make myself clearer

it feels like you literally spend more time watching the bosses screams and death animations than you do fighting the boss in most of these.
Or in the case of Dung/White Defender, Collector and Traitor Lord, we don't even need to watch the screams, just smack them

Well, there are definitely some bosses that could still be faster, I believe a sub 16 is possible, but this is just the best I've gotten

It happened about every time when i tried to radiant him, and i think it happens when you kill him in his first phase just after he it knocked out for a bit
@@hipposapien5434 It doesn't need to be super fast or have Fury of the Fallen, the only thing required for him to have 2 nails is to get him to Phase 2 while he's staggered. Happened on my winning attempt of P5, and I just had Coiled Nail + Fragile Strenght, no spells used.

I play on controller but I prefer almost any game on keyboard lol

keep in mind, Massive Moss Charger first attack can't be the jump or that's a reset. This alone cuts a LOT of attempts...

OVER 2000 TIMES??? THAT IS AMAZING
He said in other comments that most runs die on the first 5 bosses, so it's not *quite* as insane as it sounds. He also said that ~1.2% of those runs actually finished (i.e. defeated AbsRad without resetting.) Other commenters have said that most runs die either by taking a hit in the first 9 bosses before the first Lifeblood checkpoint, or from Moss Charger jumping (which is super slow and therefore reset-worthy if you're grinding for a WR.)
It's still a crazy amount of dedication though, and this guy has close to 3k hours in Hollow Knight total. But it's not like he's run the entire Pantheon 2000 times.

You can push these lower by swapping charms for each encounter, it’s segmented after all. Particularly in ones where you don’t use spells
With what charms tho dash/sprintmaster? If so then it wouldnt be worth it
Yeah but sitting on a bench would refill their health, which would turn off fury of the fallen
The only time save I can think of other than being better or better rng is to fall to 1 health on radiance for fury of the fallen and doing her no hit

How do you train for the fights with the blue mask, fury combination? Hall of gods doesn't work as you are full health before each fight - do you have a savestates for each fight?
We have mods for the game that allow you to practice the hall of gods bosses with fury, although practicing stuff like markoth, gorb, xero is a bit annoying since only ascended versions have the p5 arena but health values are different
@@MonStahLer ah okay, I'll take it then that a mod with working save-states doesn't exist (yet)? I can imagine that being fairly useful as you could have one for each fight with the proper setup 🤔

This really shows how much hard work has been put in. Say 20 minutes on avg per run * 2000 attempts = 666 hrs ~ 27-30 days at the bare minimum, possibly more. It's at least 10x more than a regular gamer takes to complete the entire game. I am just underestimating. That's commendable.

Technically you could improve the time for a segmented run by damage-boosting more during one particular boss fight each time you attempt the run.

Does anyone know what the bronze masks are from? I can't find anything about it on the wiki.
Also, damn this is impressive. I do not envy being any one of these bosses.
I'm not sure but I think that it's a health binding . In pantheons you can choose to have less health to make it more challenging . These masks become bronze and can't be used . As he is using fury of the fallen this gives him an advantage because he can get to 1 health faster.

So, why don't runners Overcharm? It seems like Nailmaster's Glory would come in handy, and I'm sure some other charm would also be useful.
Beep bop Robot snot Overcharming makes it awkward to get yourself to 1 mask so that Fury of the Fallen’s effect is activated.
It would be harder to cheese radiance
because he need to take damage and losing two masks every time is just not posible for exemple against Oro and Mato and avoiding damage mean doing less hit so it would be slower
For this pantheon you really need the blue hearts for tanking some bosses, an overcharmed run would have to readjust some strats as noted by some people already, and play extremely well throughout most of the pantheon as well as getting lucky on some bosses, which is very hard to pull off, but perhaps we'll get there someday
