Conner. While in college I worked on a study about dormant weed seeds and the best practices to control those seeds. The best practice was to expose those seeds to sunlight and other growth factors like water. If you till the lawn down a few inches you'll be able to sprout most of the weed seed remaining in your soil. Simply spray them or till them out. You can do this repeatedly but in the end this process will eliminate far more weeds than any other approach. The second most effective method was heat. The study used fire, steam, or black tarps to super heat the ground which killed many of the seeds
I appreciate the dedication to perfection. Your videos help me relax after 14 hour field days 1000 miles from home where I can’t mow my own lawn after a hard days work. Thanks Connor.
It looks maybe like your ‘Tubes energy has been restored. All of your subs, myself included, sure hope so. I was just thinking that we missed a whole summer of your life! Great to see you on a more regular basis.

Always great to see an upload from you! You are right, the lawn is a journey, I recently had an irrigation system installed, wow what a game changer. Now if I could just get rid of the mole...
I killed my new yard this spring and really enjoyed it! I would never have thought I would have felt like that but it was a great experience and then sprigged tahoma 31. It’s the journey, no doubt!
As a fellow red/green colorblind person, I totally get your struggle!😂 the worst is catching lawn fungus before its too late.🤦🏻♂ Good luck in your journey, and I can't wait to see your results.🤘🏻
Good luck in your renovation Connor! I killed my entire back yard (TTTF) last year because of Poa Triv. Unfortunately I was only able to recover about 80% of it back in the fall. So it has looked like crap all year so far. Looking forward to fall so I can get the other 20% fixed. Enjoyed the video as always!
I never enjoyed cutting grass that much until we moved out of the city and into the country. I now have about an acre to cut and I’d mow it every day if I could. There Is something to be said about being out and mowing grass. Don’t know why But I like it.
If i have learned anything from watching you over the years is that you sir are a mad man when it comes to lawncare, but if there's anyone who can pull this off is you. Take care and we all look forward to seeing what you do next!
Well my front lawn got hit by brown patch so you inspire me to do the same just sprayed mine. Time to start over. Never done this before so it should be fun.
If it does not work this time. You have a fan day and 50 people show up and dig every one of those brats out. The pros tag each area /example with color spray and the fans dig the crap out and help find more. Lay down some chalk lines and search the lanes or something. Were all behind you Connor Ward. You have given me faith in my ability to have not just a great but an amazing lawn. Smoking another 6000 feet of yard right now - deep in reno.
Connor... CalRanch has the weed torches that you can hook up to a large propane tank for around $40. I picked one up at the first of the season and torched some of my weeds. I was very happy with the end result.
I see progress buddy! But I think I'd spray it one more time. Don't mess around! Death to all that is green!!! I can't wait to see this bad boy come back to life. Thanks for sharing.

I am amazed at the amount of effort you always put in. Even when you seem to be half-assing by your own standards, you're still doing more than most. I bet this reno is going to be your best one yet. Can't wait to see the first signs of green this fall.

So what preemergent are you going to put down in the fall to prevent Poa and Triv. Curious to see how you will be able to reseed. You going to use Poa Constrictor. Thats the problem with seeding in the fall and applying preemergent.

Should have just put polycarbonate down on the poa annua 👍
I was thinking the same thing
Connor get to the chopper, would probably help getting an aerial look of any spots you may be missing.
I would continue spot spraying the areas that had the concern. I would do another blanket application but probably hit those spots a couple more times
Con, I've did this but at 4 inches & about caught the neighborhood on fire 🔥!!! Exercise caution 4real...

First Aussie 😁. Connor, you have the nicest brown lawn in the neighbourhood, Dominating there mate. 🤠. Why? Because they can.

Lots and lots of water and a fert app is what will help every small thing come out. Weekly gly spray and one right before seeding.

From Poa to OJ. Love it!
I sort of prefer your short, burned yard to my drought-stricken hayfield.
I wonder if there's just poa seed in your dirt so when you seed a new lawn it germinates and comes up.
The propane burner you wanted is cheap..like 40 dollars at hardware stores. Get the one with an ignitor on it. Saves time when it gets windy.
The journey is the best part. Especially if it’s your plan and you’re doing all the work.
