Conner. While in college I worked on a study about dormant weed seeds and the best practices to control those seeds. The best practice was to expose those seeds to sunlight and other growth factors like water. If you till the lawn down a few inches you'll be able to sprout most of the weed seed remaining in your soil. Simply spray them or till them out. You can do this repeatedly but in the end this process will eliminate far more weeds than any other approach. The second most effective method was heat. The study used fire, steam, or black tarps to super heat the ground which killed many of the seeds

@@lawnrebel Yep....always enjoyable to watch. I saw the quick "burn down" video, and wasnt sure if it was legit or not at the time. The quest for the perfect lawn never ends. My bermuda has really suffered this year here in west texas. I need an irrigation system put in! Cant keep it green this year with the severe drought we are having in West Texas. I think we had 5 inches of rain all year!

your energy is to be admired, technique can be improved. Buying materials and renting equipment can be daunting. I was in construction 32 years and learned a bunch about the pitfalls. Going slowly and planning ahead and watching videos like yours is a great idea. The older you get (72.5 years) slows this process even more. Anything you do costs big bucks. My advice plan plan plan then execute . Thanks for your video, good info even for an old dude like me.
