I did a 180 on Glamlite, I didn't like the Frosted Flakes palette, but I must say I love all the Horror themed palettes, and the Chucky and Rick and Morty are my favorite. I need to use the Mario Etheral eyes more, because I did not like his all matte palette. I agree with you I do not like the Beauty Bay eyeshadow formula and I put BH Cosmetics in the same category as it. I sold my Cosmic Brushes Muse eyeshadow palette, it had good quality, I just want to use the formulas I love. I do not know how people can really say something is a favorite only using it once and not using the palette completely. I know sometimes I use a palette and dislike but I use it and if I keep not enjoying I get rid of it.
Hi Maaike quite a round up this time 😂. I don’t own any of these (although the beauty bay and cosmic brushes palettes did tempt me). I bought the Dior silver palette in that time period and have the midi Xenon palette to use this week. I restocked foundation and got some blushes at the latter part of last year rather than palettes with my makeup budget. I’m glad I didn’t get sucked in by the FOMO for the I need a nude (it’s too neutral warm for my skintone which is super cool) and think the Xenon is much more me. I’m not a super intense eyeshadow person and don’t need anything overly colourful or dark like many indie stuff can be. I also know from my experience with the tarte tartelette palette that the makeup by Mario and Bperfect won’t look great on me. Of everything shown today the Glamlite is probably the one that made me go “oooh I might like that”😂. I do however have the dior and the Xenon for the grey tones I love and haven’t used either enough yet. I thought you did some fantastic eye looks with these palettes and am glad so many were successful for you. Best wishes x
The purple, green, and blue eyeshadow looks you did with the CosmIc Beauty Winter Wonderland and Blend Bunny Lure palettes in this video looked so pretty.
Thanks for your (almost ;-) ) review of the blue "New Glamour Multi Finish palette, Blue Variatons 05" from Kiko Milano. I had ordered it about two hours before I came across your last video on Kiko: I hadn't searched for it because I was sure there wasn't any video on UA-cam that covered this palette (for whatever reason, Kiko isn't an influencer thing), UA-cam actually showed me that video two hours after my purchase on the right hand side! What a coincidence! When I was in Italy last May, I had fallen a bit in love with that palette in a Kiko store, it has cool colors, even a dark cool brown, rare enough, and the quality was convincing. But I was in a no-buy year and I told myself that if I hadn't forgotten about it by next January or if Kiko no longer stocked it, then that was it. Neither was the case. I got it on Friday, I remembered it being bigger, memories can be so wrong, it looks bigger in photos. And after swatching and trying it I was sure that Maaike CAN'T really think it's bad, it's just really well pigmented, I actually can't see any difference to the singles (I have both newer and older ones) from Kiko.
Finally someone addressing the price increase of Cosmic Brushes. I also don't get it why suddenly they increased the rates so much. I mean it was possible in the past to get them at a reasonable price but yeah... I don't want to think about it (greed) but no matter how I look at it I keep coming back to my suspicion
Greed, really? It's clear from the prices they vary depending on the palette, which means it's because of the specific shades that are included in each. Everything got more expensive and the increase is not that big at all for CB. Shipping was never included, my Serenity palette cost 25 EUR and shipping from the UK was an additional 13 EUR when it came out. Most importantly though, their palettes are still very reasonably priced compared to most other indie brands, so your greed comment is a bit confusing.
@@girlwhomustnotbenamed4139 The Muse palette is/was a 20-pan palette with 8 shimmers (out of which 2 were duo chromes) and 12 mattes - price: 25.95 EUR. Where I started to scratch my head was the release of the Gothic palette: you have a total of 12 shades with 5 metallics and 7 mattes - price: 31.95 EUR. Are you telling me that 1 multichrome shade made this about 23% more expensive when you have 8 shades less in total??
Um, multichromes have a higher cost than a duochrome, their newest palettes have multiple multichromes while older palettes had 3 or so duochromes, their pricing is lllowwww compared to others so “greed” is a wild thing to say.
I don't think it's greed. They have changed formulas for sure. There are different shimmers and also more shimmers in the newer palettes than before. Let alone the multichromes and compared to other brands they are still quite affordable. Brands need to make money to survive so yes they will up their prices to account for more expensive products, but also don't underestimate the costs for materials that have gone up in the past 2 years. The brand actually shows you how they are not greedy at all by not upping the prices of their older palettes.
I also found I couldn’t wear the blend bunny shimmers and the darkest row is something I find I ca not use. This is the same with all their palettes. I don’t think I will buy from them again. That’s two rows that are useless for me straight out the gate. That Glamlite is intriguing though
The critiques I heard regarding the Warlock palette were that the dark mattes are not the same Fantasy Cosmetica quality like in their other palettes. I still have to try it myself
I liked the dark mattes fine. They aren't great in a swatch but with brushes they can be built up for liner, lower lash line or deepening up purposes just fiine.
You are so right about the I Need A Nude. I agree with everything you say here. It's so great. NB: I am fair olive toned. So basically neutral with a slight greeny-yellow tinge. However I can get away with extremely warm toned things and extremely cool toned things and also have light (yellowy green) eyes. I like to wear both warm and cool tones together to create that 'contrast' effect. So.... I'm not the best judge of colour stories to be honest, because I can 'get away' with most shades. However, this palette is TRULY neutral on me, which is VERY difficult to do on my skintone. This is why I say Maaike is correct. I think it would look great on more or less everyone, except perhaps deeper skintones with more pigment in them (you may need more depth in the mattes, but even so I still think the shimmers would look great on you).
That Cosmic Brushes eye look is stunning! The combo of the bronze and deep blue...👌
Glad you liked it!

Exactly, you have to use things for a longer period of time to make up your mind.

Thought you might like the Glamlite. Xenon is on my list for February.

Thanks! I really love those colors.
Loved the green look with the Warlock palette.
I loved it too!

It was much more successful than I had expected! The look came out great.
I'm so glad you like the Gravity palette.
Edit: I don't know why UA-cam is doing this, but it's me, Christin.
I don't either but in the app I can see your name just fine.
The grey look from the Kiko palette looked great
Thanks!

Gorgeous looks with the Winter Wonderland palette. ✨️💖
Thanks!
Love the eyeshadow look and cobalt blue sweater on you. It’s so beautiful. 😊
Thank you! I love that color on me too.
bedankt Maaike,ik heb erg genoten van de video!
Graag gedaan!

I wonder what my undertone is if all grey and silvers look blue on me? I am not a blue eyeshadow person and hate it because I LOVE grey & silver 😢
You could be warm toned if those undertones don't show up on you.
Heerlijk deze video's ❤
Dank je!

Yes very well put. I think this is a very universally flattering palette for many people.
