I was told NB, but after this vid I am questionable, so what other NE areas would you recommend and can you do more or another vid for the NE area of San Antonio. I am mil and hope to retire there, I have my last PCS and looking to move next year 2024. I have some family there but only been to SA once.
Thanks so much for the info getting my house ready to sell since my husband is being relocated from KC to SA and we live outside the city looks very similar to NB and that’s why I’m considering moving there-I am originally from SA but haven’t lived there since 1999 and have become use to “Small town” living it’s definitely going to be an adjustment especially because I haven’t been to visit since 2013 personal life situations just got in the way. Even funnier they are just now building Whataburger’s all over town here in KC thanks to Patrick Mahomes which I will still be representing my Chiefs with my Chiefs gear on and around whatever new yard I have

My family and I are moving to Texas in June we’re unsure where to live either cibolo , Selma or , new braunfels, we are leaning more towards new braunfels because my dad just got a job at buc-ees, looking up the area and seeing how beautiful it is I got excited but after watching a few of your videos (great info btw) I’m unsure because my son gets bad allergies and the bugs, insane traffic etc 😩 My son is also going to be 4 and I would love to find him an amazing school

My wife and I visited New Braunfels for the first time while vacationing in Canyon Lake this past Summer. We didnt get to see very much, but we will have to visit again. Love the hillside homes in Canyon Lake. We moved to TX from MO a year and a half ago and we certainly agree with the Pest Control Issues and the Property Taxes. TX has bugs unknown to mankind and thank God we are exempt from property taxes! Nice video and thanks!

Great video and awesome information. Funny how I stumbled on New Braunfels as my family and I are looking to relocate from Los Angeles. Did not know how much of a hot bed this has become for people ro relocate, the main reason for becoming interested is due to location and closeness to the big cities in both directions. However the main reason for us the great education. My son is autistic, what have you heard of the special education system in New Braunfels? Please advise if you have any information. Thank you
Hey, thanks for the comment😀‼️ We've seen a lot of people heading to NB for the central location, it's really tough to beat. NB also has a great special education program and gets high reviews online from other parents whose kiddos have learning differences . The schools here will do an assessment and recommend accommodations based on their need. If they already have accommodations from another school, they can retrieve those records as well.
When were you thinking about moving?
@@SanAntonioTexasLiving my wife and I were thinking in two years, but the reality is we are open at the end of this school year once my son finishes the year. Also, looking to rent before we buy as we want to get situated with jobs and the right fit for my son. We plan on traveling some time next year during the summer to heat. Thank you for responding.

I'm I am thinking about moving here as a single young african american female, I was wondering is this city accepting and would I be treated ok by the locals? Basically is it racially friendly/diverse?
I actually think one of the best things about living in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area is our diversity🙌🏾 I grew up next to a military base with friends from all around the country, many of which who'd also lived overseas, so it was really nice being around so many people from varried backgrounds and cultures.
We have the same thing in SA/NB, only moreso because of our 4 military bases here. We also get several million visitors a year, so we're pretty used to welcoming new people. My wife and I have really enjoyed raising our daughters here and it's nice to see them hanging with a diverse group of friends.

Hi I’m in the same situation and really want to know where NOT to move to. My plan is to buy a quadplex, live on one unit and rent the rest. However I’ve only been seeing duplexes.
@@NiOko2013 Duplexes, tri's, and quad's are definitely more difficult to come by, but they do tend to pop up more in New Braunfels than San Antonio. We've helped a good number of clients find all of the above, it just takes some extra digging around on our part. When were you thinking about moving to the area?

Yes for all 3, although Boerne and NB/Schertz are on opposite sides of town. Each area is a little different so it'll depend on what you're looking for in a community. When were you thinking about moving?

Do you think NB is walkable? Cus i going to there for few months and i dont have driving license. Is bicycle road good?
It'll depend on where you're staying. The historic areas closer to downtown and the city center are a lot more walkable/bikable than the newer more suburban/commercial areas. What's bringing you to the area?
I hear people complain about Texas drivers too…and I always think, hey! none of these people are from here. Watchu mean “Texas” drivers? Lol, you mean California drivers.
I think I read somewhere these parks are not free access. Is this true?
It's $20 for parking at Solms Park. Landa Park doesn't have any parking fees.
