- This week we went out to the Yorkshire dales to check out some routes suitable for 4x4 and AWD vans when the weather gets worse and we can get some ice and snow action.

We had the same in the lakes last week, walkers miserable bunch! Mounting bike guys good as gold and even shut a gate for us at the end of the trail
It’s amazing how everyone is spot on except walkers. You can spot them a mile off
How can we find details of the lake you stayed on the shore of - we'd absolutely love to stay there with access to the lake with kayaks!!!

My wife has multiple sclerosis and she will never get to see places like this unless in a 4x4. I find these ramblers selfish and rude thinking places like this are for abled bodied people only.🤬 Great vid BTW 🤣👍

Another great video as always and to make it better it’s in Yorkshire :) , totally agree with the ramblers we come across some lovely ones always have time to stop and talk to anyone interested but then you get those that just ruin your day, the bridge you crossed over the resovoir had nails thrown over it a year ago to puncture the tyres on the vehicles using the lane they don’t think of the horses dogs and children that could also stand on them absolute selfish morons

New to the channel, and totally agree we all have access no matter what mode of transport .
I was up that way last year or maybe the year before, never knew about these lanes will have to try then out in the new shogun, the last one was built for touring with the caravan, this one is going to be more of a self contained tourer.
I need more of this in my life, forgive my ignorance but the trip down into Wales, Oakes park I can't think of its proper name, I looked it up yesterday when i watched it, what a mash up and fun by all.

Another great vid. Can’t believe how your van goes over that terrain it’s crazy. Fully agree with practicing your fire skills, it’s a good skill to have and personally I find it therapeutic lighting a fire with a ferro rod and feather sticks.
Also being a green lane bike rider myself I 100% get where your coming from with the blue socks brigade. Why can’t we all share and enjoy the byways together. It’s sad that they have 1000s of miles of footpaths to use but we have very limited amount of green lanes.
I’d understand if we were on all the lanes but they have 100 times the access we do and they still moan.

Your last comments. I jokingly said to somebody earlier at work be a lot of defenders about this weekend. In my eyes that will in the last few years spread beyond defenders to sprinters suzukis etc could go on but then when the weathers nice tax em to the hilt (put that politely) and deny access. Keep the access looked like some good route and good times there.

How are you finding not using the Land Rover?
It’s an odd one. The Landy is so much better and easier to off road but the van just works! It’s so nice on the road it outweighs its lack of ability off road

These are the routes I do on my motorcycle, I can't believe the vans got up scarhouse! Great video.
Saw a good few bikes and miss the speed but it’s always good to have all your kit to pull over for a brew. Thank you.

Totally agree with your points about all users on the lanes, these people really need to have a word with themselves.
I’m surprised just how capable these 4wd Sprinters are.
Hopefully the new tyres will be on soon then I can give it a bit more off road. I think the issue with the walkers is they are all in a little echo chamber and forget there are other users.
Just a heads up there’s a great little lane round the back of the lake u had a swim in on first night. 2 ford crossing and a drive down the river as well. Another great video as well
