I'm putting this harness in a 69 Corvette also. Thank you SO MUCH for this video. It's so much easier for me to watch you than to try to read the diagrams. I appreciate it
Just the video I was looking for. Thank you for posting! I have to replace the engine harness in my 68 in a few weeks. My harness was hacked up long before I bought the car. Please do a video on the dash harness replacement!! Thanks again!!
This video is AMAZING !!! But I need one for the 1984 C4 crossfire engine :(. Gonna follow you to see if you ever do one for that. Thank you for the great quality video !!
Hey Hop, On my 69 factory air should I stay with the original orange & black connxns that have a noise capacitor for the blower motor or go with the new orange & black connxns without a noise capacitor?
I think that would depend on if you would like to maintain everything original or go with new technology. When I first purchased my car, the engine was not original so my decision was easy. That was the reason I just replaced everything with new technology as much as possible but maintain an original look. I also changed my AC to Vintage Air which took off about 30 pounds of weight and had new technology. Your choice friend. Both choices are good. Even the old system has lasted many years on a 1969 Corvette.
I've inherited a C3 corvette with a partial EFI conversion installed and i need some help figuring out where the Tach signal wire is. this a tach drive distributor if that helps at all. Any idea?
Normally, it is one of the wires where the power wire connects to the distributor. If it is on older model, it has a cable that connects to the distributor on one end and on the other end (runs through the dash) it connects to the tachomoter behind the dash.
@@TheWhatisright yeah this is a tach drive distributer there is a cable that runs to the back of the dash but the efi needs a tach signal would I just use the terminal labeled tach on the distributor?
Would this be the same for me? I’m in a 75 vette with a 454 swap. Previous harness is trashed and I only want power to my damn starter is all I ask lol
I’m in the same boat with my 75 my friend… however mine is a bored out 350. I replaced the starter & solenoid a few months ago but when I turn the key it won’t crank. I Can jump the solenoid with a screwdriver though so I’m blaming the wiring
Steven, I used the originally wiring from the engine wiring harness which was connected to the coil. I did a video on the complete Electronic Ignition a while back. I will provide you the link in this reply. Thank you for asking the question. "Keep those cars on the roads". Corvette Hop ua-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=ifETPWqymEw
HI, Very good presentation on the engine harness.A project I`m going to tackle on my 78 soon. Have you replaced your A pillar weather stripping yet? Maybe I missed that video. Again, thanks for doing the body mount video. It helped me get my mounts changed to the Polyurethane mounts. Thanks again.
Thank you. I did do a video on the windshied in which I repaired the windshield frame near the pillar. However, not a complete A-Piller. I am so happy the body mount video helped. It is not an easy job to replace the body mounts, that is for sure. This is the window install and window frame repair video link. ua-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=P6DO-PahL_U

May a make a suggestion on your wiring harnesses at Lectric limited? When you make the wiring diagrams for installation show the color of the wires on the diagrams (make the diagram in color). Thanks again, for providing the best wiring harnesses on the market. This will show detail and the next step to perfection.

Did you tuck the harness behind the wiper motor or under, along top of where the engine meets the trans?

What was the name of the company you bought the wiring harness from? do you think they would sell one for a 1967 Camaro rally sport convertible?
It was Lectric Limited. Yes, I think they do make them for classic Camaro. Link is here www.lectriclimited.com

Hi, very good presentation! It gives me the courage to tackle this myself. What purpose has the short brown wire near the starter side?
That wire is for my car specific. I have two electric fans for engine cooling, so I connected at that location.
