Bikerafting over night fishing adventure on the Alpacka Caribou.
I've been planning this trip for a while after hearing about some lakes that are home to some Sturgeon.
Starting off on this adventure with a very wet day, I took the train from Oulton Broad to Brundall. hoping to put the Alpacka Caribou packraft into the river there.
The plan was to paddle down the river Yare to Cantley and then bike to Limpenhoe Lakes, spend the night there and hopefully hook one of the Sturgeon in the lake.
As like most of my adventures something always goes wrong and this trip wasn't going to be any different.
Bikerafting is a great way to vary your adventures. Please only use packrafts that are specifically made for bikerafting, like the Alpacka Caribou.
Limpenhoe lakes offer wild camping ( and when I say wild camping it is a very basic setup, toilet, water and waste). and day ticket fishing.

Great little adventure. Forgetting stuff is half the fun 😀. I like the idea of bike/raft/camp/fishing. Especially multi-purpose kit, like paddles for poles.

I looked at that same spot in postwick a few days ago. Just bought a packraft direct from china, its a pioneer for calm water lakes and rivers. I had the choice of 210 or 420. chose the thicker material. Been practising blowing up and deflating and rolling up as tight as possible and working out which bike to use. i also purchased an accessory which is a bike carrier sheet for strapping on the bow. Seems secure enough, Just got to launch it! cheers good vid.

Just make sure the bike stays upright when no one is in the raft. Otherwise if you take a swim it will be near impossible to right
