    Oh Carter that looks so good. Quick easy to make. Love the little half jars. That would be my size to give as party favors. I must order this cookbook. Enjoyed the video. Thank again.

    Love me some cranberries!! What a divine recipe. I also have my Presto going as I watch you, canning some mushrooms I found real cheap.

      I love cranberries too! It's possible I made way more of this than I'll need for party favors! ;-) So glad you are using your Presto while I keep you company! I am just wrapping up my review video of the Presto. It should be out next week. I would love for you to add your thoughts/experience as well in the comments on that video. Thanks for being here, GGMM!

    Have you shared how you store your rings when they are not in use?

    • @growandpreserve
      @growandpreserve  Рік тому +1

      Oh, Vicki! I have no good system! I do keep big bins of them sorted into reg and wide down in the canning pantry, but the ones that float around in the house drive me nuts. I swear they outgrow every bin. How do you store yours?

    • @vickikenton5439
      @vickikenton5439 Рік тому

      @@growandpreserve I try to keep them in a storage bin but it’s not easily accessible and many used rings end up floating between kitchen drawers and cabinets. My family is not yet comfortable with eating home canned foods beyond fruit preserves so I’m in an uphill battle before I even begin my pressure canning learning curve.

      I store my rings by sizes- use jute (with loops on each end) string them up- hang them on one of my canning wire shelves with an “S” hook../ also use them with my freeze dried foods- those are hung on two small separate curtain rods.. tightening one end of the rod so it doesn’t move- the other end I leave loose to add/ remove rings as needed

      Kristin, I'm sorry I don't on this one. It is from the book, "Not Your Mama's Canning Book".

    This sounds delicious. But wondering what pineapple juice instead of orange juice would do for the taste. I’m just not a fan of orange juice.

    • @growandpreserve
      @growandpreserve  2 роки тому

      I think pineapple juice in this recipe would be great! The pH of orange juice and pineapple juice are both around 3.5, so no safety issues for using pineapple juice instead of orange juice in this recipe. I have made the pineapple cranberry conserve from the Pomona Pectin canning book. It's is a fabulous flavor combo. If you try it, please come back and let us know what you think, as there may be others who also don't like orange juice. Thanks for being here, Drema!

    Well I'll be darned....i googled canning recipes for cranberry chutney and here you are!
    The fact that Google put you out there is a HUGE accomplishment Carter. I feel like a parent being proud of their childs good report card 😂
    Anyhow, cranberries are fresh at the store now, so i grabbed several bags thinking a relish or chutney would be amazing to can, and here you are.
    I too dont like it when i follow a recipe and it comes up shorter than the suggested amount.
    I'll be doubling/tripling the recipe as berries are so cheap...so why not make enough to last a year or so?
    I use organic cane sugar for all my baking, did you know that "white" sugar is the chemical residue left over from extraction? That's why its so bad for us and causes numerous diseases.
    What is allulose sp?
    Stevia i know what that comes from. Never heard of the one you talk about though.
    Well, i made my list while watching the video, need some golden raisins, ginger and white wine vinegar to get this going.
    Congrats on Google recognizing you on YT....your numbers are growing! 🏆🏆
    Edit: i did find a cranberry orange relish recipe too.
    Love relish!
    As im sure you know, we're heading into season for fresh oranges from Florida and California. I buy so many bags of oranges when USA is in season..lol I'm going to try and can some this year. 🤞 that i find the time.
    Chow!

      There's no escaping me, hueman! This recipe is so good. I put some on a log of goat cheese to take to a party the other night. Delish! And so nice to kick off the season. Allulose is a "sugar" found naturally, but now of course, manufactured. It's about 70% as sweet as sugar, measures like sugar, and is heat stable and nearly calorie and carb-free. My husband should not have sugar or honey or maple syrup at all, so Allulose has been a tremendous blessing. It's been gaining quite a bit in popularity lately. Both Dr Gundry and Thomas DeLauer have been singing its praises lately. I can oranges and grapefuit every year. There's a video on that too! ua-cam.com/video/qXo7HsDOino/v-deo.html Finally, thanks so much for the congrats on showing up in search. It does take quite some time to convince google and YT that I'm here to stay! :-)
