EM31Pro and AM5 both use the same type of reducer, but the motor size of the EM31 Pro is larger, giving it a higher load capacity. The 10cm used in the load calculation for the EM31 Pro is the distance from the dovetail slot end to the telescope's center of gravity, not the distance from the RA rotation axis to the telescope's center of gravity. Additionally, the distance from the RA rotation axis to the dovetail slot end on EM31Pro is 94mm, which is shorter than that of other mounts, resulting in a shorter moment arm and comparatively higher load capacity.

Thank you for the technical information. And sorry i interpreted the schematic as not so accurate.

@@GalaxyArtMedia Our parameter expressions might have caused some misunderstanding, we apologize for that. Thank you very much for showcasing EM31Pro in the video.

I have cuted that portion of the video when i was confused with the center of gravity so will not be any wrong information about the EM31Pro. Make take a a few hours or a day tu update. I would be curious how this mount would perform with my 10 inch telescope that with astro equipment and an apsc color cooled camera weigths just over 15 kg, about 15-16 kg

Which mount is best for a C8 SCT using an OAG with a ASI174mm mini for and ASI071MC Pro? Guiding performance is most important. My C8 with image train weighs 19 lbs (8.6 kg). Thanks for your opinion.

Hello! Regarding payload all mounts i mention i think will work weith a c8, regarding guiding performance i can confirm that Am5 whorks very weel even with larger telescopes, so should be the Am5N. Other mounts i have not tested mysef but saw some good results on other reviews like the Emcam 31 pro or the Pegasus Astro NYX-101, I am curious tos ee soem tests with the skywatcher 150i though seems very good price/paylaod, but havent see any test reports or reviews yet

The umi mounts show promise but suddenly they have become more expensive than when they came out. so much for real competition. It makes me mad they will not drop the prices to where they should be considering there are less moving parts and the components are less expensive and less moving parts. Skywatcher again are unproven and charge a fortune.

@@GalaxyArtMedia the one that does not lighten my wallet because it is not overpriced. Juwei 17 comes to mind but not enough of them are about at the moment. Otherwise the UMI 17
