As a licensed cosmetologist I just wanted to let you know that your video was great. It wasn't too short or too long. It was very informative. Thank you
Thank you very much, it means a lot to be acknowledged by my peers ❤️
This is the work of a true artisan, I can tell you really care about the work you do and you are very detailed and precise. Your effort really shows, it looks BEAUTIFUL!
great vid. i had professional training several years ago, but haven't done any applications in 5 years. this was a wonderful refresher course. you are very thorough, i appreciate the quality.
okay..I'm here for different purpose.this video relaxing me a lot.so thank you for helping me to sleep 💕
Oh really! That's amazing that it helps you sleep, glad it does!
g h ASMR!
I thought i was the only one who feels really relaxed watching these videos :)
For all those here that are worried and say that eyelash extensions damage your natural lashes:
If you get your extensions done correctly by a certificied lash stylist, there's absolutely no negative effect on your lashes. The correct lenght and thickness of the extensions are not going to over-weight your own lashes = they won't fall out. Of course you gonna keep in mind that a human loses around 3-5 lashes a day (it's natural, same way you lose your natural head hair), so if you wear extensions and you see this amount fall out, no need to panic ;)
Also it's always good idea to listen to lash stylist's instructions on how to take care of the extensions.
You are so right! I have had lash extensions for the past 8 or 9 years now. I've gone to the same person and I love them. She does not do fills, she is against doing it. She feels it is very important to clean your eyes each time, then reapplying a new set. Even my eye doctor tells me that I eye lids look clean and well cared for. First visit is $125.00 and $62.50 every 4 to 6 weeks. Honestly, her price is too cheap
Thank you very much, I didn’t know that. I’ve been wanting some extensions for a long time cause I don’t like wearing mascara or gluing on false lashes😓
This is completely correct I am taking the course now and when done correctly with the right length and thickness of lash it will not damage your natural ones
Yes I do but also I do tell my client before they do some still they want to do more then single I recommend 3D or 5D
Nevarin w
very helpful for someone who is just starting to learn how to apply these. so glad I found this video
awesome!
This answered so many of my questions as someone interested in getting extensions. Your voice is lovely to listen to as well!!
We touched on lash extensions SO briefly in my beautician course, this video is so detailed, it's really helpful.
This is a very different way of applying a lash using beads of glue than anything I've heard or learned. I have had a difficult time getting lashes to stick using the other method (no beads) so I'm looking forward to trying this. Thank you for the best tutorial I have seen so far.
I'm going to have to pin a comment I think as things have changed since this video I made in 2013, back then we were taught this way, nowadays I do not glue as much as glue has improved so much for retention. In regards to getting “stickies” sometimes you need to babysit the isolated lash a bit longer whilst the glue is drying, also if you’re using fast drying that helps BUT when you start trainees tend to use slower drying to have time to isolate dip and apply. More glue won’t help with stickies
UPDATE: Everything in the video is still valid however I use much less glue and do not use "beads" of glue on an extension as we were taught this way back when I first started. Glue has improved so much since making this video (in 2013) and we can now use the most minimal amount and get great retention.
Im beginning and im very thankfull for this video cus it is not "over the top"perfect like many ive watched and almost got me to just stop lashing cuz i feel no good, but this video gave me a little hope that i wont be killed if im not perfect.GOD BLESS im definetly gonna follow❤
thank you for this video, im becoming an esthetician and this video was so helpful. I now know what im going to be exactly learning :)
EC Awesome! Good luck on your journey
I did a lash training about a week ago and I've been having some trouble getting it down but I think this helped me!
Love this video, helps give clients a idea of what they are paying for!
I came across this video and I love how you explain everything in detail.. I wear lash extensions and love them!!!
I always come back to this video when i feel like i need a refresher ! So helpful so many great tips
Loved how natural it looked.. hate to see the "brooms" some ppl rock
so i heard that you aren't supposed to get beads of glue on the lash, rather a line so you have to dip it and remove it slowly. What are your thoughts?
VERY LATE reply but yes no more beads, this video is back in 2013
Anyone else think her eyelashes didn't really need extensions?? Her natural eyelashes look amazing already!
Alex's eyelashes are long however they are straight so when she looks straight you can't really see them as much, the curl of the eyelash extension is what makes the most difference for her not so much the length :)
Either way, beautiful job!
kanadajin3 just think her eyelashes were already beautiful, no need for name calling
Cayleigh Kearns lmao that was the most dramatic reply i've ever witnessed 😂 you're right though! her natural lashes are v nice
Cayleigh Kearns
This video is so handy for beginners! I just finished my course but still have to practice on friends now
Oh and one question: a classmate of mine her model's eyes where glued closed! That scared me so much! What did she do wrong? too much glue and not taped well I guess?
TessaLoveTH
Not taped correctly most likely
I really appreciate this video! i start my class in July so this video is giving me an idea of what to expect!
good video! well explained.
very helpful and she answered all my questions with her thorough explanations! Thanks again!!
Excellent training video. Really well filmed and I've just finished training so will utilise this for the future.
I use Blink from lash base, it's non latex and dries fast. I've used it for a while and really like it
Thanks for posting this application video. I had a set put on over the weekend and expected them to look like this. Unfortunately, they didn't. I think that quite a number of my lashes stuck together and there wasn't as much preening as needed. I'm thinking of getting them removed before they damage my natural lashes. I have some crazy long extensions in my inner corner and they are driving me crazy! Thanks again for showing what they should look like!
Thank you so much for this video. I've learn so much more then what I learned in the lash class. I am so glad you shared this I didn't get half of this info in class. I see I would have been totally lost and messed up doing the mombo jombo they showed
Ablackman'sdream Great feedback about the video, sad to hear that the course you attended wasn't as fully informed as it should be
I do not have a set number of lashes for my full sets. I just put a lash on every healthy lash available. I book 2 hours so I have enough time to do this. so basically I have no classic, full or volumizing worded sets that I have to stick to certain numbers of lashes for
This is so "old school" that loose classic lashes are used 😂 I love to see how much the lash extension industry has evolved 🤗
I am from NZ :) When you ring a salon that does extensions and ask them if they isolate the lash, like 1 on 1 and also check their website or facebook for ACTUAL pictures of lash extension work they have done not just stock images.
Thank you for this! I just graduated nail tech school and I was trying to come up with additional services as I'm an entrepreneur and running my own salon. There's a class this Saturday at a local beauty supply store. The cost of the starter kit is $150. And I'm wondering 3 things: 1. is $150 on the cheap side meaning lower quality products? 2. Will my clients actually want the service and 3. Is there a more in depth class. This one is only a few hours.
Anyway thank you. Now I know what to expect.
I need this in my life!!! A.s.a.p. 👀👀👀👀👀
Best video yet.......thank u
Thank you for your lovely message! I'm so glad to hear I've been of help :)
I love how you explained everything through the video!! Thank you so much!!;)
Hi there, I've used Nouveau Sealant since day dot. There are certainly other brands of sealant for client purchase/care like those on lashbase website, max2 sealant or DV Perfect Sealing
This is totally incorrect application. Glue too much, and she didn’t seperate properly. You must move to another side after apply one extension. Don’t let them stuck together because it made your natural lashes fall off.
I learned this the hard way. I guess you learn what is best for you.
@@rania9590what did she mean move to another side after applying? I'm confused
Taylor Johnson usually I will do a section first and move to the next. So i will do the end of the eye first. Say you are doing 9,10,11,12,11,10,9 on the eye. I would do 11,10,9 first so that I could go from right to left left to right. Finish that section. Do the centre of the 12 moving from right to left and then I would finish with the corner lashes. Doing this helps the lash dry and then you are moving back and forward that way you don’t end up with clumps
Hello yth
Thank you for the compliment, no I haven't tried double tappered, they look a bit thick, again I'd rather cap and stack with .10mms or put on a .15m 1:1 then cap or stack with a 0.07mm
Thank you for this I'm starting this Tuesday and was told it's stupidly hard and difficult so wanted a heads up on what I was doing
thank you my dear for sharing your techniques i am sure you are advanced now as practice makes perfect, your video is simple and straight forward i like it xx
+Joanna Uter yes we all have to start somewhere :) thank you xo
if i hear the word LESH one more time, i'm gonna lose it
***** yeah I know, but cuz of her accent she says lesh .. i don't know if you hear it, but i do :)
She sounds a bit South African to me, she's not saying lesh she's saying lash
I think she's a kiwi?
+Danielle Bentley lol nope she does say lesh
Yeah nah she's saying lash it's her accent. I say it the same
I love your soothing voice throughout the video, it has taught everything to start practicing on the manikin and see if its for me before completing a course thank you. What are the brand of silk lash strips with guide?
about 3 weeks before they look like they have some gaps and need an infill. A professional remover (gel) is used to remove. I am thinking of doing a video of this part.
Fantastic how you explained the whole proces! Really good x
her LASHES were already lengthy & pretty 👍💜But, even prettier now! good job to the technician
I love how informative you are throughout this video! Do you have any tips/ suggestions on beginners and the best way to go about practicing?
Thanks for making amazing videos! UA-camrs like you inspire me to create my own content
Thank you x
omg I wanna get eylash extentions! great job!
+AndreaLissetteReyes I'd watch the video about the pros, cons and then decide. They are really amazing and make the lashes look better than you've ever seen. However, they are high maintenance and can cause damage if you use them for too long. That was my experience at least.
Good to hear! Good luck with the lashes, I found my after support to be lacking so defo join a lash forum on facebook or something so you can get great support :)
how did i get here from watching smartphones review?
I asked myself the same question, only I was watching cooking tips
😂😂😂
I was watching hair videos; so mine is more closer to the subject. 😄
Thank you so much for this video. I'm starting to make 1:1 lashes and I found this video very helpful :)
Great tutorial, one of the best I've seen!
Just starting out, love this video. Im in school and this is in better detail. You rock thanks!!!
Jade Miller Thank you! And good luck with your studies :)
about how long does it usually take you to do a full set?
Jade Miller what school do you attend?
Jade Miller
zoru
May we have an update ? Are you currently doing lashes now ? How is it going ?
learned more from you than going to school!!!
Great video. It was clear and very descriptive. Thank you!
Thank you for this video!! One of the best I've seen.
Great tutorial
I recommend taking a class, it's people's eyes and you really do need to be qualified to do lash extensions.
I really want to take the eyelash extension course Bella lashes through the aesthetics school that I graduated from at Capri it sounds so exciting and a few of my classmates have taken the course as well I love lash extensions!
If you love attention to detail like brow tinting and eyelash tinting then you’d probably love it ❤️
Great video....thank you for the tips. The diagram and choosing lengths was helpful. :)
thanks for this... i had mine done yesterday ... seemed to take forever!!! didnt know it was such a tedious job!!! ps... i love them :)
+Bevie Wright-Mcphee Yeah it's interesting to see what is going on on the other side :) Hope you're loving your lovely lashes
yeah i sure am :)
They look lovely. When you have them on are they suppose to scratch your eye?
Found this video a lot more helpful then my professional lessons! Could you tell me the thickness of the lashes used? X
Super helpful!:)
I have had some issues with lashes falling off too rapidly. It is only the applied lashes that has fallen off, the natural lash is still there. The first time I did it I thought it was because my technique was wrong, like using too little glue, gluing the lash too far from the root, not having enough length in which the applied lash and natural lash are in contact. I have been super carefull to pay attention to all these details at every lash applied the last times. Is there something I have missed, that could cause the lashes to not stick properly? My glue is about 2 months old, and takes 6 seconds to dry so I'm switching it in for a 2 second glue soon.
Amalie Gravelle There can be heaps of reasons why lashes don't stay on some people, if it was all of my clients which were having bad retention then I'd put it down to the glue being off but if it's just a couple of clients it could be that you need to prime the lashes more thoroughly, maybe there is mascara residue leaving traces of oil on the lashes (xtn glue doesn't like oil), could be the eyecream people use at night, can be a client that showers x 2 a day, does sauna's, the gym, so many reasons. 6 seconds for the glue to set tho - that's really long
GalaxyDreaming Thank you:)
Great video. .. Learned a lot from this ...thanks for sharing!
I loved It, its super good.
Great tips! I became certified a few weeks ago & have been practicing so much. Your models lashes looked amazing. Well done.
+Elexsis Gregory All the best with your eyelash extensions :)
You are amazing! So so so amazing. Had to subscribe just because of this video.
I'm getting these today I'm so excited
ohhhh it's such a let down when you go to get lashes done and they end up like that, I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment. I agree long lashes in the inner corner are really annoying and lashes sticking together make baby lashes pull and the set uncomfortable. I would definitely offer feedback to the lash tech, they won't know what isn't working until they get feedback from people, a good lash tech will offer to fix it without charge too.
Wooow and thanks mam very helpful video for me
I always book an hour for an infill sometimes I need 30 mins, sometimes up to an hour depending on how many lashes have been lost and how many old lashes have grown too far out which need removing
This was a brilliant video!! Great andove for a newbie training xx
This was so helpful, you are really talented thanks x
I'm glad it helped :)
Hi there, I always try to get all the natural lashes unless they are too small to support even my smallest lashes (so babies)
I am from NZ so you'll need to look for a lash technician wherever is local to you. Try Beauty Salons
Perfect Teacher!Loved it!!!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Wow, I really enjoyed your video!! Can you tell me what type of glue you used? Your technique is much better than the one I am using, so I am excited to try out yours!
That is amazing! you work so beautifully! Can you use eyelash extensions on your lower lashes? Is there any way to apply eyelash extensions by yourself?
I love your videos they are very helpful.
Thank you for posting the video and answering all the questions :)
That's ok :) I expect the lashes to last up to 3 weeks before an infill is needed - that means some will be lost, not all and they won't look as full by that point.
thank you very much. It is a very complete video,.
AMAZING DEMO!
Thank you
Hi, what a great video!!Could you please write down everything you uses, or maybe add it in the description so everyone can read it. i want to buy a starter kit since I am new , but that does not mean that I will by budget. Whant to by a kit that is of good quality and you have tested a few :)
Yes I do, however my policy is that I won't infill anyone else's work, I will remove them and star a new set from scratch. Sometimes the lashes are such a mess there's just no way I could infill them to look like my style of more natural lashes.
Love this video! Very detailed.
Hey! I am having a difficult time trying find the right foundation for my skin. I live in another country so it is really hard to talk to the people and have them understand what I am trying to say. So if you have any tips and tricks to finding the right foundation for skin tones, would you mind making a quick video. You don't have to if you don't want to. Thank you so much for all you videos! When ever i want to do a makeup look i look at your channel! Thank you!
I loved this tutorial. I have a few questions. Each lash gets a lash?
Are there different thicknesses of lashes? Does the lash glue extend from the bottom to top or only 1/2 way? I'm guessing you are trying to copy the curve of the original lash?
Yes each individual lash is isolated and gets a lash UNLESS the lash is a baby lash and putting on a lash extension would be too big or heavy for it, sometimes leaving babies to grow is a good idea. The glue is a dot of glue swiped along the natural lash, there should NEVER be a visible glob of glue, if that happens then you are using far too much.
I actually thought the lashes were glued to the lash line...makes much more sense gluing them to other lashes LOL Really makes a wonderful difference. How long do they last? Sorry if you mentioned it and i didn't listen correctly =)
This is a GREAT video..thank you for sharing and how can I find more....I am working on my certification and thee are helping alot....
Video very bad, is a lot of dirt
Hi, I use lashbase, Blink Q-1
This sounds like a dumb question but did you place the lashes underneath the lashes or in top of the natural ones?
I try to put them underneath whenever I can because it's a better adhesion to the natural lash, kinda like spooning the natural lash lol. Great question!
I love your videos! And you are soooo good at what you do. I wish I could find someone near me that individualizes the lashes for the clients needs. The place that I go doesn't give me the option of using shorter lashes towards the inner corners of my eyes.
I also asked if they could do a combination of the Russian volume lash with the individual lashes. Is that something that you do?
The ending results were nice
fantastic video!
You are so thorough thank you!!! !!!!! !!!!
I am just starting as well ur awesome at this gosh hope I get that good
Thank you
Gorgeous Lash application, What brand of lashes do you personally use?
I like Hollyren genielashes :)
Great video! Thank you.
