Thanks for this (saucy) episode! It was hilarious and very genuine. I loved "This is us" and it is a blast to have you revisit it but I really enjoy how you go deep into the topics each episode bring. Thanks for sharing your own experiences and showcasing a beautiful friendship between you all. It feels like we're hanging out with you while having deep (or silly) conversations!
I freaking ADORE these conversations. I honestly want the three of them to have another podcast where they just discuss these existential topics and their lives 😂❤️. They are all so intelligent, introspective, and well-spoken ❤️
I love that it's in the context of a show that gave us all these existential issues to contend with so it's all just soooo perfect. Would love to have Milo, Justin, and Chrissy on at some to complete the union.
I listen to this Podcast on my way home from working my evening shifts. By the time I get home my face is always hurting from smiling so much. Sterling has the MOST contagious laugh. Chris cracks me up with his HOT TAKES and witty one liners. And of course Mandy is QUEEN 🩷 I started rewatching when I heard about this podcast and it’s become my unwinding comfort show (all over again!) Thanks for all you do!
When I found out about this podcast, my wife and I said "ok, we'll rewatch it with them". We ended up binging the whole thing in two weeks and now I cannot wait for them to bring pretty much everyone from the cast to talk about every episode. I loved Jon Huertas and Susan Kelechi Watson episodes and I know that Milo's is coming soon!
Love this podcast! I just finished rewatching the entire series. I tried rewatching each episode to go along with the podcast, but the show is just so good that I couldn't stop!
Chris made a really good point saying the death Randall already experienced with Jack is something he never fully understood. Jack walked out of that house fine and that was how he was the last time Randall saw him; fine. So for Jack to then die had to be near impossible to fully understand
I love HOT TAKE!!! Hahaha I love you guys, and I think that you sharing your personal anecdotes makes the podcast more genuine and ultimately is what the show “this is us” made us to do… reflect in our lives! Please continueeeee! Don’t stop! 🫶🫶
I just have to say, whoever edits these video podcasts.... LOVE IT! You capture the best parts and facial expressions. It's Hilarious and adds so much to the episode!!! :)
My biggest piece of advice for a happy relationship (and I don’t think this is talked about enough) is putting your ego aside and realizing that it can actually be very liberating to be wrong and taking accountability. If peace is the ultimate goal then victory shouldn’t matter ❤
Yes! I don’t ask you to be perfect because I am nowhere close to perfect but just own when you were wrong and just say sorry and that you will try to do better because I have no problem doing the same. We are humans with human emotions and that’s okay to knowledge but don’t use that as an excuse to get out of accountability.
I would just like to say, years ago, there was a post on fb about Chris being in the town I worked in for the holidays with his wifes family. I sent my husband on a wild goose chase to find him and get me an autograph because I was stuck at work. Well, he didnt succeed but, he was able to reach out to Chris' wife somehow and I was sent so many things from him. The big three hat, autograph, a CD, a picture. It was so sweet. STILL the biggest fan! ❤
It's amazing how the episodes gets us differently depending on what we are going through in life.. when I first watched season 1 I was pregnant.. now facing all the challenges in marriage with a 4 year old children .. the line Miguel's mentioned about quiting because they were too tired really got me 😢
DON’T STOP. I will admit there are some episodes that didn’t resonate with me that much but then there were those that were the gut punch. Whenever I want to feel that wonder about what goes into making a television series I always rewatch the pilot. That show at the end, when it all comes together is such an “A-HA” moment that I get each and every time. You can’t describe it to anyone. You have to experience it. Please keep going and thank you for doing this.
Thank you for doing this podcast. I love you all but Chris, you are my favorite. I love your humor and vulnerability. And you definitely have the best voice for animated characters. You remind me of John Goodman and Jeff Daniels. Thank you for your incredible acting and being a genuine person. I look forward to watching you in the future. 😊
Possibly a hot take? (But really shouldn't be...) I feel like women frequently have acts of service as a love language (vs men w/ grounding touch, etc ) because we're just expected to do all the domestic duties so anyone helping with that is so appreciated.
My favorite part of the whole episode is when Kevin tells Sophie that he remembered what she wore in fourth grade. Fourth grade ?!?! Fourth grade??!? 😭😭😭😭😭
I love the sharing from y our personal lives - it is literally what the show is about / showing, relatability. I do wish there was more talking about the episode and relating VS the fan part. I like hearing from you all more.
Love this podcast and the actors on it. This one in particular had me laughing out loud. I also respect that they feel comfortable sharing personal stories. I binged watched it to begin with, but now I am taking my time and watching them week by week along with them. I look forward to Tuesday every week❤
Sterling’s take about pets really really hit me because it’s the same for me, I had to stop watching to breath for a few minutes because it is so hard to deal with
Hot take but I think without Miguel and Shelly divorce. Jack would have not stuck through especially with the triplets. Miguel conversation with Jack made him understand the importance of the small things and that it doesn't stop.
I absolutely love everything about this podcast. It just brings me back to when I first watched the show and dang it twist my arm to watch the whole series for a third time. I have to say it hits just as good as the first. ❤❤
My brothers and I have no issue saying "I love you ". Really hit home when I realized that was the last words and interaction I had with my father who passed unexpectedly the next day.
I realized on the rewatch of this episode that there's a continuity error there. Miguel's best man speech makes it sound like he had a history with Jack prior to meeting Rebecca, but that's not true because (SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO ARE WATCHING FOR THE FIRST TIME!) they met when Jack went into the clothing store where Miguel was working to buy (borrow!) a sports jacket for dinner with Rebecca's parents.
Trust me…..there will be plenty of errors like that. They contradicted a lot of stuff in the later seasons. I hope they point that out because it drove me crazy watching it, lol
@goldenchick85 I waited for them to say something about it, but they didn't. I don't really think they would ever purposely point out such errors, though. They (rightly) respect the writers too much for that. Overall, this writing team was SO stellar. I don't think there are really THAT many continuity errors to notice, but as we go along the rewatch I am looking for them.
@@goldenchick85 ah! That's an angle I rarely think about ... and since it's Pittsburgh (and Philadelphia), there would definitely be a lot of weather variation compared to California
I just want to say, my freshman year in high school, we had a substitute teacher named Mr. H. Head. He wouldn't tell us what the "H" stood for, but we're pretty sure it was for "Harry".
The one and only podcast that i will ever watch! I’ve seen this is us probably like 5 different times from start to finish, and it always gets better with each watch!!
I LOVE this podcast! I loved the show and now I am rewatching along with the podcast and seeing things I missed when the show originally aired. THANK YOU for this podcast!!!❤❤❤❤
Does anyone else feel like the fall is This is Us and Gilmore Girls season :) I've been with my husband for 15 years and I totally agree with Chris about contemplating divorce to putt things back into perspective. I think of it like, there is no such thing as unconditional love, because there is always conditions to make a marriage work. my two cents
I wondered the same. I guess divorce gets messy. I've seen a lot of fiction that makes it look like divorce lawyers stir up a lot of shit between their clients, too. I don't know if it happens like that in real life, but maybe...?🤷♀️
I thought it was interesting that the same version of Toby that showed up at this place in the drum class and annoyed Kate was the one she missed so much in season 6. (SPOILER ALERT LOL)
I had an interesting question!!! After the show and during its actual air-date. Do you ever slip into that character in your real life sometimes??? And have your partners noticed and what did they say???
I love the show and enjoy this podcast. I am a bit disappointed about the conversation about after childbirth, referring to a husband and wife, and a message to pregnant couples to "please continue having sex with your husband". Our daughter and her wife are about to have their first child, blessing us with our first grandchild. They got married two years ago and it was a real eye-opener to me how cake toppers, wedding cards, bridal shop appointment reservation forms, and even decorations are geared toward a husband and wife. These are two beautiful life events for them and their families and it puts a damper on it, when we as a society continue to use terms that are hetero-normative. Please consider challenging yourselves and set an example to others, to use language that is inclusive to all couples, such as parents and partners.
Too much side talk about the actors’ lives. I am interested in a discussion of the episode, not in issues that Chris and Rachel dealt with in their marital counseling. A little bit of personal anecdote sharing is fine but ( especially Chris Sullivan ) wastes too much time with long, self indulgent asides.
Thanks for this (saucy) episode! It was hilarious and very genuine. I’m trying to watch with the podcast, but it’s killing me not to keep watching them all
I did the exact same and finished Sunday in tears 😂😢❤
Same 😂
Same here! I’m literally episodes away from finishing the whole series 😂 for the 3rd time might I add 🤭
Love this combo! Mandy, Chris & Sterling are great together

This podcast is amazing, but this episode, in particular, is exceptional!

1:05:06 come on Sterling with the Usher reference 😭
Had to come to the comments to see if anyone else caught it 😂
Love how it totally went over Chris and Mandy’s heads 🤣🤣
lol yes they didn't catch it at all
I thought I was the only one that caught it lol
Sterling mouthing the hotline number while Chris read it tickled me so much since Chris does it at the end of every episode with the credits.
I wish there could be short extracts of the show as they talk about it.
Great episode though ❤

My favorite part of the whole episode is when Kevin tells Sophie that he remembered what she wore in fourth grade. Fourth grade ?!?! Fourth grade??!? 😭😭😭😭😭
watching/listening these from behind, you all are something else!
One of my all time favorite shows... tears and laughter....it gets you on a visceral level.
Mandy is such an incredible actress and singer and she’s so humble 🥺🫶 love hearing her talk about TIU!
The scene on the train where Kevin tells about fake Facebook profile 😂
Sterling’s advice about marriage and new parents- spot on! I love your side bars, and you all make sense. Thank you!

By far the best episode of this podcast so far!

@@wispycrys1 To give you a hint, pay close attention to the clothing, the time of year, and the weather during Jack and Rebecca’s first meeting.
@@goldenchick85 ah! That's an angle I rarely think about ... and since it's Pittsburgh (and Philadelphia), there would definitely be a lot of weather variation compared to California
@@wispycrys1 It’s not so much Pennsylvania versus California. It’s just a later episode a few seasons later seriously contradicting what is shown.
I really look forward to your podcast every week. Please keep them coming. I miss your show, but enjoy rewatching the show❤❤❤
Loved this episode
Im catching up on the pod and I absolutely love the podcast and the show. Thank you for doing this for and with us❤
Adding "nose fillets" to my arsenal with "sports players" lolol.
Loved the podcast as usual!

Thank you guys for this amazing episode!! I laughed so much and loved your deep conversations ♥️ well done 👏🏼 much love from Germany X
Saucy and hilarious...always a good time hearing you guys. Thanks for the weekly delight!
I am so excited for the next three re-watch episodes. Seaspn 1 episodes 15-17 are some of my absolute favorites!
I was cracking up at "nose fillets"😂
The way Mandy says “ew-uh” 😂 Relatable
I just finished the series and can’t wait for all the future episode recaps, I need a new one daily 😂
You all are AMAZING! Love love love the chemistry and real real conversations! 😂😂😂😂
Shout out to Sterling for the Usher lyrics 😂
It's going to sound like a typical exaggerated comment but PLEASE believe me... "Meghan Head" nearly took my existence! 😂😂🤣
I love this podcast episode so much!
Please never stop!

Again love this podcast ❤️ thank you for this!!! It makes my morning commute to work easier
Toby and Randall actors are sooo much fun, Rebecca actress is mum like "agua fiestas"
Did you guys peep Sterling 's use of usher lyrics . Touche sir touche.😂

I fell in love with this series
I love this podcast so much. Never change! Excited for the next one.
I love this episode so much omg! So many important moments 😭❤️
Thanks!! I've had so much fun!
I saw what you did there Sterling...with the Usher lyrics 😉
Yall were such hams this episode. 😂 #loveit
Yall are hilarious! I love you 3 too much!! 😂 ❤
I love love ❤️ all the episodes this one was spectacular

I always wondered how Miguel and Shelly went from this plan for an amicable divorce to her keeping the kids from him.

That’s my only complaint about the Miguel episode. They needed to show his marriage and divorce. I hate that they kind of glossed over it.
@@goldenchick85 same. I was mad that they went so fast on his story. I wish they had shown his wedding to Rebeccca too.

I thought Milo was going to be on this one? Did I miss it or is he on a future one?
Probably next week. They record in advance
I caught that shout out to Usher, SKB. Well played.
Where do you see the question they ask for the next episode?

Yes, Mr. Brown it’s advice for everyone lol

Rebecca said, "Wait" with the blindfold still on, then again when it was removed in the old apartment. (I notice way too much lol.)
5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😊🥲
10:37 but hm...didn't his co-star Justin Hartley get divorced...?
