Since there are *always* Haley Reinhard fans promoting Creep and her latest release Don’t Speak, I'm going to promote Morgan James. Don't get me wrong Haley fans, I love Haley - she's great. I just happen to prefer Morgan over Haley (but by only a slim margin😀)
Morgan studied opera at Julliard (her classical training is why she has those big pipes) and has played on Broadway. She has her own band and is married to the guitar player, Doug Wamble. She also is an indy under Hedonist Records LLC. Check out these other songs from Morgan out as well.
Dream On, Aerosmith - The first time I heard this cover I just couldn't get Steven Tyler's voice out of my head. It wasn't until I listened for the third time that I could truly appreciate Morgan's cover.

I agree totally. I can't believe this is the only PMJ reaction you've done. Definitely check out Creep and Dream On...DEFINITELY!! Also, the guy waving in the back is probably the drummer. PMJ has a tradition (not in EVERY video) of hiding the drummer in the back behind the lead vocalist. This time we got a glimpse. :))
Ariana savalas, who is the daughter of the late actor Telly Savalas is an actual burlesque singer. Morgan James trained for Opera at juilliard and has them Broadway as well as different musical styles. We all know how great Haley is.
nice reaction and breakdown. if you really like the first girl, haley reinhart, you need to do a reaction to "creep". it maybe the best cover ever done, bar none. what you saw here with her was just an appetizer for what you will get in "creep". all the other haley/pmj ones are great also: "habits", "black hole sun", "mad world", "seven nations army", "oops i did it again", "lovefool" and her most recent "don't speak" . i think what is so phenomenal about haley is not just her amazing silk to sandpaper voice but also her character and soul that she puts into the performances. even when she uses very little acrobats, her pure raw soft voice is amazing like in the intro of "creep". you see this even more in her solo platinum cover of "can't help falling in love" for the extra gum commercial which is truly stunning and frequently described as what love sounds like. you can find it here: (ua-cam.com/video/_uNpEbt7w_o/v-deo.html)
I saw PMJ live in an outdoor amphitheater on a beautiful evening, and it was head spinning. The talent was amazing!

They're actually singing and using this microphone!!! If you get some cover like Mad World from Postmodern, you'll realize that when Haley gets away from the microphone and sing, her volume just go away and then come back when she turn around.

Morgan James- Amazing! "Really Don't Care", "Maps" and her epic "Dream On" are well worth a listen. She also has done "Sledgehammer" and many other covers! Yes, she sang on Broadway but Soul is her passion... Also, Ariana is Actor Telly Savalas' daughter! The "wavier" is the drummer for the song...
My usual comment on Scott Bradlee is that he is a fine-but-not-mind-blowing pianist, but a GENIUS at arranging and at finding the right people to realize his arrangements.
Just a little note - The third girl that sang, Ariana Savalas is the daughter of Kelly Savalas, who played Kojak in a 70's tv series. "Who loves ya baby!"
I think Kelly Savalas was his drag act on weekends.

I went back and looked at her old videos and it seems to me that she has developed her signature style in just the last few years. Awesome! Go, Diana! I also love her rendition of Havana for something light and fun. Concerning this reaction - I love PMJ, especially when he has Morgan or Haley... and here they are together! But Haley's rendition of Creep will always rock me.

I enjoy how, in the PMJ videos, everyone is "in character" from start to finish and the short story they tell and the characters they portray changes from song to song. Plus, they are superb musicians and voices.
The drummer popping out and waving at the end is part of an in joke with PMJ where the drummer is almost ALWAYS hidden from view, either by the singers or by lighting.
I've got a crush on Hayley too. When I heard her sing CREEP, she's very sultry, seductive, and jazzy.. OMG!

Seven Nation Army PMJ cover is under represented in reaction videos FWIW. Just dropped PMJ cover "Don't Speak" both with Hayley. Creep is most viewed and commented on, my favorite as well. Hayley's american idlol performance of House of the Rising Sun and there is a duet song with Casey good too.
This was beyond a doubt The “Best Video” of 2015, Period! The Arrangement, The Harmonies, The Voices, hell even the Dresses are all matching Animal Prints. I watch this Video at least once a week to make me feel good. Meaghan Trainor must be so proud of these guys, they upped her sales by the Thousands! They have done 2 songs that aren't 'live' -- Africa (I think), and Don't Stop Believing (both for clear reasons when you see them).
Everything else is purely the performers. No tricks, no gadgets, no splicing.

The videos are recorded live in a studio with very little production in the back end. They may do more than one take before they get the sound Scott is looking for. Must Must watch their versions of Seven Nation Army and Creep both with Haley. They nail it and Haley is drop dead sexy in a Jessica Rabbit sort of way. More chills coming for you.

One thing I noticed from your list of video reactions, is appears that you've never done anything from Pentatonix...once you do (they have hundreds of videos), you will be hooked !! Start with some of their classics...Hallelujah; Daft Punk; Bohemian Rhapsody...then just throw a dart at their list (they'll blow your mind) !!
PMJ's covers are all vintage style. That was Scott Bradlee's idea: taking mosen songs and rearranging them into a classic vintage style. Scott himself is a trained jazz pianist.

There are very few Postmodern Jukebox videos that aren't a live recording. The only one I can think of are "Don't Stop Believing" where they're going through the house, so recording live while filming wasn't practical.
"Don't Stop Believing" was actually a one take performance!
Sure the video and audio were both one take, but they didn't record the audio at the same time as the video moving through the house as it would have picked up the background noises of them all moving about. As a result it is a lipsynced video
