Commemoration Glasnevin Cemetery 07 June 2022

Tuesday 07 June 2022: Commemoration: Irishmen who served on Arctic Convoys 1941-1945:
Organised by the Irish Seamen’s Relatives Association (1939-46), a private remembrance event was held on Tuesday 07th June 2022 at the Cross of Sacrifice located in Glasnevin Cemetery, Dublin 11. Wreaths were placed on behalf of the Royal Naval Patrol Service Association by Mr Michael Feeney M.B.E. Chairman, Mayo Peace Park and Garden of Remembrance, Castlebar, County Mayo, and by Peter Mulvany, Chairperson Irish Seamen’s Relatives Association (1939-46). ODE TO THE FALLEN was recited to conclude this event. Both wreaths have now been removed and will be laid at a future remembrance event in the Mayo Peace Park.
