I first saw your podcast on my TV. When I tried a UA-cam search it could not find APT Atelier. I had to try a variety of searches to find you again so that I could subscribe. Just an FYI.
apparently the slantiness in ribbing comes from doing ribbing in the round, because of the difference between knit and purl stitches and how much yarn they each use. so ribbing knit front and back doesn't have that slope! I have that happen with twisted rib too, all the time. but I can't do front and back....gotta do it in the round and just live with the slant 😊
That slightly marled colour in Sunday tee is so nice! Both sweaters suit you so well. I'm in Finland and I get use of my woollen clothes all year round, too, except for the few hot weeks in June and July. That's when even a dk weight cotton top would be too much and when I prefer clothes that are not knitted. Should try fingering weight silk, though.
Anna I love your Mia Sweater love the colour and looks so cute on you Your knits are all beautiful and your sewing projects !! Thanks for showing them and have a great week !!! 😊💝🇨🇦🇨🇦
Hi Anna, My first time watching your podcast and you are doing a great job! Lots of advice, hints, insight into making things fit, modifications, etc.! I'll be back. happy Knitting!!! Roxanne.
love your videos as always!! thanks for bein transparent about the gifted yarn!! so many people try n be dishonest about that sorta thing!! have a great june😇🫶🏽
It's reassuring that you think the linen quill can still be okay in Seattle summer. I cast on a color tip tee in it and I was starting to worry it would be too warm! I think Flock will be super surreal seeing so many vendors and podcasters that I watch online be there in person! I'll definitely say hi if I spot you :)
Anna, I’m a Seattle transplant & love knitting. Would love to hear which yarn shops you recommend. So far I’ve only visited Tea cozy. Love the Mia top-I’ve been wanting to make a knitted tee. Currently working on my first complex cable sweater, it will probably take me all summer haha
i generally just swatch flat. I cast on about 30 stitches and then knit for at least 10 rows until I have an idea of how the fabric will look. also, always block you swatches to see how the fabric will change once washed!
Yeah, i really don’t like it when the different ribb hems don’t match either! It just feels wrong somehow. Did you maybe miss some fotage at the beginning of the video? 🌷
woops! I had some technical difficulties putting the video together, thanks for letting me know the intro got cut off! I'm glad it started when it did though! We're just jumping right in!
Twisted rib for me always gets slanted! Never have that problem with normal ribbing, only when I have to do twisted rib edgings. I love the color of your Sunday tee - I’m currently casting on a sweater no.18 in a very similar color! I hope your two upcoming knits help with your knitting mojo (:
On the Sunday Tee, what needle size did you use. I purchased the yarn and I'm getting ready to begin the project, but what needle size did you use for the guage. Thx
I absolutely love your choice of colour for the Mia sweater! Most of the ones I’ve seen on Ravelry are white, beige or grey, and all very beautiful and classic, but I love seeing patterns knit in a variety of colours. I was thinking of making it next fall in a forest green colour.
Hi Anna- enjoy your podcasts- you talk about wool being right for Seattle in the summer- just curious are you originally from the PNW? I am born and raised and I put the wool away in April and bring it back in October sometime. 😊
@@theboxervillehomestead2147 I grew up in places with very hot summers (regularly over 100 degree days) so our 65-80 degree summer days here feel fine for wool to me!
I find it to be really soft! I am pretty tolerant to rustic wools though, so I'm not the best person to gauge softness, but I would say that it feels very smooth and is not prickly at all.

Yay! I’m going to Flock too. So excited, I’ve never been to a yarn festival.

Welcome to Seattle! I love Acorn Street Shop in Ravenna, they have great selection, frequent sales, and very friendly staff.
I am a beginner knitter. How do you make your swatch? I saw a video on speed swatches. Curious how you swatch? Love the hobbii color by the way❤

Thank you for another great + cozy podcast episode. I love the look of your finished Mia sweater, especially the colour of that yarn 😍
Do you think the navy blue cone of yarn is a serious worsted spin?
I definitely could be, it's such a unique texture.

I used 3mm needles!
Love the your Sunday Tee and can't wait to see the final result of Ozettas design. I love her stuff. Happy Summer Kim

Talk about this festival you are going to. I may be interested in going. I don't know a thing about it. Thx
Here's the website! I'll talk about it more as it gets closer to the time. flockfiberfestival.com/
