    Would love to get into property flipping what worries me the most is the cost of refurb so I still make a profit and finding a trusted building company Paul as I have no skills in joinery electrics or plumbing so I would need to bring in builders to do all the work.

    Do I buy a home or invest in property business?
    I could buy a home and wait for equity after a year and use that to invest. Way too old to still be renting or living with parents. Alternatively put all that deposit into property investing.
    This is what I’m battling with now. I can’t decide

      This is great theory, but they way the housing market is now (high house prices) is not a good time to buy. If you buy a house for £150,000 and spend your £30,000 savings on doing it up it won’t necessarily be worth £180,000!

      Increase your income by having skills that add value to the market place. Currently Data, AI, VR is where the money is at. 100 years ago the people who got paid well were most likely mechanics (problem solvers) when Henry ford released the ford cars. (Valuable skills to the Market place)

    Wow!
    I have no idea of your demographic but you’re assuming the average person is very rich if they have a £300,000 mortgage-free home, £30,000 savings, decent pension and is earning £35,000 a year! 😮
    The ‘average’ person in my well-off area has a mortgage on a £200,000 property, no savings and an income of £15 - £20,000 (if they’re lucky). When I moved house I had £180,000 and the maximum mortgage I could get (aged 56, with 10 years to retirement) was £30,000). I will be investing my inheritance of possibly £30,000, how can you realistically help?

    • @PaulSmithTouchstoneEducation
      @PaulSmithTouchstoneEducation  Рік тому +2

      Hi Joanne, of course averages are averages. the Office For National Statistics shows roughly 70% of people have their own home and 30% rent. From the 70% roughly 37% have paid off their mortgage. I do understand very well areas are very different. More importantly how can we help you? It all starts with understanding what is possible and deciding if you want to become wealthy through property. A great place to start is my Wealth Through Property book. You can download the ebook from the link in the text below the video for free. Good luck.
